Crawford County Memorial Hospital has the following open positions: Admitting Clerk – Part-time/hourly position. Rotating evenings on weekends; work one, off one; work one, off two; and as needed for vacations, sick days, etc. Candidate’s primary responsibility will include patient registration for outpatient services, patient admissions to the medical unit, and switchboard operation. Excellent multi-tasking, communication and customer service skills required. 1 year health care experience preferred. Clinical Information Specialist – Full-time (40 hours per week) hourly position. Responsible for participating in the planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and support of clinical applications at CCMH. Will work collaboratively with end users to implement solutions that support CCMH’s patient care standards. Prefer a LPN or RN with 2 – 3 years clinical experience. Require 2 – 3 years experience with clinical information systems, a knowledge of hospital/clinic environment. Emergency Room RN –Full time (72 hours per two week pay period), primarily night shift, hourly position. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as an RN in the State of Iowa or compact state. Current in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (within one year of employment in the Emergency Room), and NRP (preferred). Prefer at least one year of acute hospital or critical care experience. Information Technology Network Analyst – Full time, hourly position. Responsible for managing the performance and security of Crawford County Memorial Hospital’s and assigned Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN). Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field. Field specific certification beneficial but not required. 2-3 years’ experience with network management in mid-sized organization, hands-on experience with Windows 2003/2008 Server, hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server preferred, and hands-on experience with mainstream network and firewall components. Janitor. – Full time, hourly position. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing areas of the hospital, Clinics, and general floor care. Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent, able to read and write, be familiar with cleaning chemicals and mixtures, be familiar with floor care equipment. Minimum of six months’ experience in floor care preferred. Maintenance Mechanic – Full Time/hourly position includes rotating call and start time. Performs routine maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to boilers, chillers, air handling units, and air conditioners. Responsible for grounds keeping, snow removal, and operation of all machinery required for these tasks. Candidate must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability. Minimum of one year experience in one of the following trades preferred: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Boiler operations. Trade school education is acceptable in lieu of job experience. Medical Technologist/MLT – Full-time position (80 hours/per pay period) with on-call and holiday coverage required. Candidate must be Board Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, HEW or other certification program. Flexible work schedule including rotating shifts weekends, holidays, and on-call. One to three years of previous clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required. Obstetrics Unit Manager – Full time position. Exempt/Salaried. Current RN license for the state of Iowa or compact state. BSN preferred. Three to five years of OB experience (L&D and post-partum) required. Previous supervisor and/or manager experience preferred. NRP, ACLS, PALS, and STABLE certifications required. Will be responsible for the daily operations of an active OB department which includes the development and implementation of policies and procedures and keeping the Directory of Nursing informed of both progress and potential problems. Responsible for regulatory and standard of care compliance of the OB department. Responsible for the direct management of approximately 8.0 FTE’s. Good communication skills essential. Must be willing to fulfill the role of a staff OB RN on a regular basis. Must be willing to assist with patient care on the Medical/Surgical Unit if needed. Paramedic Specialist – Full-time. Must have EMT or Paramedic certification from the State of Iowa. Experience preferred. Must also be comfortable assisting in the E.R. within their scope of practice. RN – OB Unit – Full-time position rotating shifts. Progressive and rapidly growing Obstetrical department. RN with previous OB and/or Medical/Surgical experience preferred. Must have strong critical thinking skills and able and willing to work as part of a team. On call requirements. Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts with shift rotation with other staff members. Provides direct patient care in the Labor / Delivery / Postpartum / Newborn and Antepartum setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including, but not limited to: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. ACLS, PALS, BLS and NRP required but will provide if needed. Must be able to work independently.
