The staff at the store has a lot of experience, Herring said, and employees have between 10 and 30 years of experience. “Experience is very important. Tom Potvin, head professional at the course, has worked at Dodge Riverside for 30 years, and said the course continues to get better. “We’re in real good shape, it seems like it gets better every year after the renovations in 1998,” Potvin said. Potvin said he has a “good crew” and they take a lot of pride in the course. “Maintenance takes a lot of pride to keep the course in good shape,” he said. “Put that together with an inside staff that has been here for a long time and it’s a great combination.” 2.) This is the sixth year it has taken first place in the contest. Museum director Beth Lindquist said she is “absolutely thrilled” to see the museum win the top spot again. Broadway. It also boasts a new fountain installed last year as part of the park’s $4 million facelift. “It’s a wonderful ‘postcard park,’” according to Larry Foster, the director of Parks, Recreation and Public Property. “Bayliss Park is the signature park for the city.” The park can be rented in twohour increments for special events such as weddings. 2.) The Mongolian grill offers a style of stir fry cooking first used by nomadic Mongolians, but adapted for today’s diners. Customers select vegetables, beef, chicken, fish and other items and the cooks will prepare the meal “fresh and hot” in about three minutes. However, it’s not just the food that draws the customers. “We have enough selection for anyone’s tastes, but we’re fun. We try to make it more of a personal thing when people eat here. The servers, the cooks, everyone is fun here,” she said.
