When one of our Artisan Business Partners saw that poverty was forcing the children of Purdilnagar to work instead of learn, she built a no-cost school in the community. Our Ecuadorian accessories are crafted using responsibly harvested local seeds like pambil, acai, and tagua. The Artisans cut, polish, and dye the seeds to make unique, sustainable jewelry.
Guatemala • Glass Beads
To make our glass bead accessories, Guatemalan Artisans create their own bead looms using nails and planks of wood. The women enjoy gathering together to string the beads by hand.
Ethiopia • Upcycled Artillery
To create these unique beads, Ethiopian Artisans melt down artillery shells left over from former conflicts. Then, women emerging from vulnerable situations string the beads into elegant accessories.
Haiti • Upcycled Metal
In Haiti, finding reliable materials can be difficult. Our Partners utilize local resources like metallic oil drums to create our styles—transforming unneeded items into vibrant accessories.

Our leatherworking Partners have a passion for sustainability. Their innovative tanning process uses local plants, not chemicals, to ensure that their bags are both beautiful and sustainably made.
Nepal • Dhaka Fabrics
In Nepal, special fabrics called dhaka have long been used to make traditional men’s hats. Today, our Artisan Partners use these unique textiles to create authentic and stylish bags.
Uganda • Paper Beads
Our Partners in Uganda are experts at transforming sheets of paper into works of art. They cut, dye, and roll each bead by hand to create an assortment of vibrant colors and styles.
Kenya • Brass
Master craftsmen harness Kenya’s celebrated metalworking tradition to create polished jewelry. Each piece is molded and hammered by hand to ensure excellent quality and style.
Peru • Semi Precious Stones
In Peru, Artisans combine high quality metals with gorgeous semi precious stones. Our Partners have supported the same local, family-run gem polishing business for over 15 years.
Vietnam • Water Buffalo Horn
In rural Vietnam, water buffalo and farmers have long had a symbiotic relationship. To honor these important animals, Artisans carve their horns into accessories that capture the beauty of tradition.
