Problem statement: There are a huge number of people that either they do not read at all or they do not know what to read. Since books are the main source of spreading the knowledge, publishers, writers, and readers are facing numerous challenges. For publishers, illegal softcopies of their books managed their way to the Internet and they are downloaded for free and costing the publisher a huge amount of money. For writers, targeting and marketing his book to the right audience and getting feedback from readers is becoming harder and harder. For the average book reader, some books are hard to find, hard to ship, some books are out of print, and deciding wither a book is worth buying. Moreover the whole book market is shake by content of the Internet since the book industry came very late to publish its own content on the web. Solution: As technology evolved, laptops can store a complete library of books. In fact, technology is getting more involved in our daily life so that reading softcopies of books on the web is becoming more preferred. Moreover, most people and especially the youth spend more than an hour every day surfing the web. We propose a rich internet application called “Virtual Library for Students�. It is a virtual library and an electronic bookstore that will provide the ability for users to read e-books, review titles, publish their work, borrow and comment on books. The reading experience of an e-book will be graphically and motional similar to reading an actual book. Also, users will be able to put their requests to borrow and share hardcopies of books between one another. Furthermore, users can read and write their own reviews and comments on any title.
