2.Introduction As SCOMEDIANS we are constantly evolving, We think that the next step for us is TMET, as it goes perfectly with everything we work for on a local level, and it helps us grow more towards the international SCOMEDIAN level which we hold as role model .

4.Purpose As said before, TMET is the next level for our NMO . In addition to that : 1/ By having this activity we can assure a perfectly well guided path for our SCOMEDIANS.
2/ TMET program covers different nonmedical aspects of the life of a student and young doctor, by taking this training the participants will be more qualified and ambivalent. 3/ TMET will ensure the continuance of SCOME vision and objectives through future generations that will be trained by this first TMET class!
5.Target groups PRIMARY TARGET GROUP : SCOME members. Secondary target group : members of others SCO’s ( SCORA, SCOPH, SCORP …).
6.General description of the activity th nd This TMET would take part in Constantine from April 28 to the 2 of May 2016. There would be 30 spots available for trainees and 3 international trainers, maintaining the suggested ratio 10:1. For the sessions we would use a room provided by the new Mentouri University3 here in Constantine. we would have access to a big room with WiFi, a film projector and enough chairs and tables for us to work. It is a new faculty so everything is working perfectly. The accommodation would be in the dorms of the university kindly given to us for free by the administration of our faculty as they are very enthusiastic about the work we do for students in general ( precedent SCOME and NMO activities) .
The university is close to the airport (15minutes by cab ) and bus station ( 20minutes by local bus or 15minutes by cab ). More information about getting there will be given to the final participants ( the trainers would be picked up from the airport by our OC team members ). Constantine ( Arabic : ﻗﺴﻨﻄﻴﻨﺔ , Qusanṭīnah , also spelled Qacentina or Kasantina ,) is the capital of Constantin Province in northeastern Algeria . During Roman times it was called Cirta and was renamed "Constantina" in honor of emperor Constantine the Great . It was the capital of the samenamed French département until 1962. Slightly inland, it
is about 80 kilometres (50 miles) from the Mediterranean coast, on the banks of the Rhumel river.
Regarded as the capital of eastern Algeria and the centre of its region, Constantine has [4] a population of 448,374 (938,475 > with the agglomeration), making it the third largest city in the country after Algiers and Oran . There are museums and important historical sites around the city. It is often referred to as the "City of Bridges" due to the numerous picturesque bridges connecting the mountains the city is built on. Our Social program includes a tour of the city and a special event in one of the monuments, where we would share our culture and traditions.
The fee for the whole workshop will be of 30€. This includes accommodation, everyday breakfast, lunch and dinner . Also and a welcome package will be given. official TMET Tshirts would be given in exchange for an additional fee of 8€. Confirmed by the participants in the final invitation email.
7.Trainers / Speakers A call will be open on March 27th for the trainers. 3 or 4 TMET trainers will be selected from all over the world
8.Expected number of participants LeSouk TMET is going to welcome 30 participants PS: The number of participants may be subject to some changes according to the quality of the candidatures
9.Objectives and goals 1. Provide knowledge about existing guidelines, (medical) education theories, models and trends from literature. 2. Give an introduction to the world of medical education to the participants through trainings on essential skills in medical education introduce participants to the world of medical education through essential skills in medical education trainings
3. Provide skills for development of medical education, including student leadership and advocacy 4. Empower and motivate participants to take action at a local and national level 5.Provide skills in peer education and teaching 6. Create a database gathering all the information needed by the partcipants
10.Prerequisites
Our OCteam is fully dedicated to this project. TMET is a priority for the moment being. We have approached multiple “sponsors” who promised to help us . Such as BIFA ( a local juice and food industry ) in addition to the administration of the university who are helping us with accommodations as well as activity rooms. All purchases for the activity will be made before the opening ceremony ( Material for workshops , contracts with caterers, Tshirts and promotional material ).
