A Course Skier skis primarily in the slalom course and in the tournament arena. Their ski feature needs include tight angle turns and responsive agility to handle maximum speed and load.

A Cross Skier skis part time in courses and part time in the open water. This skier aspires to move up to the course arena or often skis at settings where no course is available. Their ski feature needs include efficiency and versatility.

A Free skier skis primarily in open water such as big lakes and rivers. Their ski feature needs include carve-ability and range, as their ski needs to cut through the most diverse waters and keep the ride smooth and free.

WHAT TYPE OF

SKIER ARE YOU! COURSE, CROSS OR FREE? We’ve found that there are 3 basic types of slalom skiers based on their environment and preference.

For example; if you enjoy slaloming the course, turning buoys, and going for gold at tournaments you’ll need a different ski setup than someone who enjoys cruising the big lakes and rivers and ripping turns in the open water. “But I like to do all of those things!” you say? Well, we make skis specific to cross-over types as well. No matter where, when, or how you ski, we make a line specifically tailored for you!

The S2 has a quicker turn shape than the A2 while still maintaining the stability Syndicate skis are known for. Speed is created by a combination of Step Concave technology and all new Low Taper Shape. The S2 has a Low Taper shape that narrows at a much slower rate thereby increasing the amount of surface area in the back half of the ski. As a result when a skier makes an aggressive turn and a traditional ski stops, loses it forward momentum, and gets stuck ‘in a hole” before accelerating the S2 has the surface area to support aggressive turn and keep driving the ski forward for instant acceleration.

Feeling uneasy about how to get started? Wakesledz are less intimidating than traditional towables and are easy to get started for first time and young riders. Riders of all ages quickly gain confidence on the sled and improve just as fast. Wakesledz are an ideal way to enjoy a day on the water, regardless of age or experience.

RIDABILITY

Find getting up on a kneeboard kind of difficult? Wakesledz are engineered with enough buoyancy for riders less than 80lb (35kg) to mount and begin riding, and lets fallen riders easily remount in deep water. The sled’s buoyancy enables new riders to begin riding at low speeds and to succeed their first try and every ride after.

Concerned about the stress on your legs and knees? The EVA foam padding found on Wakesledz is soft and comfortable for all riders. The padding decreases the impact felt by the rider which causes less fatigue and allows for longer riding time.

EASE OF USE

Find the thought of being strapped to a kneeboard intimidating? With the introduction of onboard handles which replace the need for a towing handle, Wakesledz separates itself from conventional kneeboards. Also, the removal of the traditional knee strap eliminates the potential of riders becoming temporarily trapped under water. Find trying to maneuver while holding a tow handle challenging? Unlike traditional tow sports where the rider is pulled by a tow handle, Wakesledz are towed from a tow point directly on the sled which increases the stability of the sled. “This towable is unique. It’s different than a tube, different than a kneeboard, and is a great new revolutionary product for the watersports industry” says Robert Oswell, President and CEO of Roswell Wake-Air.

TO BEGIN RIDING

Riders less than 80lb (35Kg) mount the product (while the watercraft is in neutral) holding the handles and floating on the product in a kneeling position until tow rope becomes taught. The watercraft should begin towing at slow speeds of 10-12MPH (15-20km/h) while rider learns to maneuver and control the product. To turn, the rider leans into the direction of the desired turn. Due to the possibility of injury and/or damage, mounting this product from the watercraft swim platform is not recommended. Heavier riders mount the product lying with their chest on the padded area while holding the handles. When tow rope becomes taught, the watercraft may accelerate slowly as rider brings knees onto kneepad area. Always begin towing at slow speeds of 12MPH (20km/h) until the rider is comfortable and confident on the product. To turn, the rider leans into the direction of the desired turn. Their shifting weight and leaning motion controls the direction the product will move. Once comfortable, the rider can then turn more aggressively to cross the wakes. It is best to drive the watercraft in a straight line while the rider maneuvers the product back and forth.
