Dear Friends Welcome to Summer 2018 at The Farm. Your Summer starts right here as the world (or at least some great international artists) comes to The Farm. Global acts this season include performers from Canada (West My Friend), Italy (Andrea Valeri), Nashville, USA (Bentley Caldwell) and Australia (Hat Fitz and Cara). We’ve lots on the menu for comedy fans. Identify the new kids on the block in our Edinburgh Festival preview shows featuring acts such as Flo & Joan, Ahir Shah and Sophie Willan or enjoy more established acts including Alistair McGowan and Helen Lederer. Looking for something completely different? The War of the Worlds should fit the bill. A ‘faithful’ adaptation recreating deadly heat rays, squidgy tentacled Martians and interplanetary warfare on an epic scale. I’m especially excited about new drama Woke, by Apphia Campbell, a civil rights exploration featuring a live soundtrack of gospel and blues. She was last here with the sell out show Black is the Colour of my Voice. The ever-popular Maidenhead Beach is back this summer and as always completely free to play and kick back on. This year we’re taking inspiration from heavenly Goa. They’ll also be a relaxed beach hut space in the Gallery for a gentler summer experience. If you‘d like to help us put it together do get in touch! Looking forward to seeing you here soon.
