FROM THE RPOS DIRECTOR “A playfull path is the shortest road to happiness.” ~ Bernie DeKoven Play isn’t just for the young, but keeps us all young at heart. This spring, RPOS offers opportunities to play for kids of all ages. Each page of the Good Times guide shares a diverse array of play - athletics, arts, dance, music, special events and more. From toddlers to seniors, everyone gets the chance to play! Norfolk’s Park Rangers offer a free monthly toddler program, Guardians of the Greenery, designed to get little ones out exploring the natural world. Proof that it’s never too early to start swimming, Aquatics offers swim classes for residents as young as six months of age. Seniors go for the gold in track, cornhole, swimming and many other events in the upcoming Norfolk Senior Olympics. And this May’s Bike Month offers cycling fun for he whole family! Registration opens February 27. Make 2017 your fittest and most fun year yet - get out and play! Sincerely,
Darrell R. Crittendon, Director Recreation, Parks & Open Space
