hey come on bicycles, pushing strollers, and pulling wagons. Golf carts, pets, and even weed trimmers join the fun with red, white, and blue streamers and balloons. Welcome to the Brookhaven 4th of July Parade, a much anticipated tradition that brings Brookhaven families, friends, and neighbors together for some neighborhood fun and patriotism.

The Brookhaven parade begins at the Don Cies Real Estate, Inc. westside ofÀce located at 1203 Brookhaven Boulevard.

Led by a City of Norman Àre truck, the parade travels north to the Brookhaven City Park where refreshments await and “Stars and Stripes Forever” plays. While young children Áock to the Àre truck for a closer look, other family members take the opportunity to visit with their neighbors.

Broker Susan Raley Àrst suggested an oldfashioned neighborhood parade in 1990 to celebrate Independence Day in the familyoriented neighborhood. Children and parents showed up at the Àrst parade with bicycles, tricycles, wagons, and scooters decorated in red, white, and blue. Everyone had such a good time that the staff at Don Cies Real Estate, Inc. decided to make the parade an annual event. Twenty-one years later, the tradition of family fun continues at Brookhaven.
