The intervention is located in the Natural park of l´Albufera, more specifically in the Gola de Pujol, the canal that connects l´Albufera with the Mediterranean. This precious location not only has amazing views, numerus activities to be done and an incredibly rich flora and fauna, it also has the tourist attraction. Tons of tourists come to the mirador at the Gola de Pujol every day, however this visit isn´t explorative at all, leaving behind much of the beauty of this place. in the EDGE aims to unify this site to give the visitors the opportunity to explore and experience all the potential that the place has to offer. But, the Natural Park is not only about the tourists. It is also about its nature. Nowadays the Albufera is going through a critical moment, it is threatened to disappear, as the water quality is getting worse every year and this has enormous consequences on the flora and fauna of the place as well as on the fishing activities that are done regularly in the Albufera and the canal, among other things.

THE SYSTEM
1 Linear Intervention Unity and continuity
El Saler Albufera, 39.348963, -0.323486
in the EDGE introduces a new reality to the Parque Natural de la Albufera, where “devices” of different nature will be assembled to respond to the existing challenges the place is facing, the endangered nature of this park and the tourism. Moreover, the architecture will act as performative and programmatic artefacts, in the sense that it is compromised with the nature of the natural park, as well as the daily tourism it shelters. Indeed, in the EDGE aims to find the balance between a conscious and sensitive tourism while improving in some way the actual conditions of the Parque Natural de la Albufera. Besides, the goal of the intervention is to be above all respectful, trying to disrupt the least the natural environment of the place, which holds a great value for the country. Furthermore, the proposal will be placed right in the edge (in the coastline of the canal), a linear intervention that unifies the site into one coherent whole, letting the visitor experience the site beyond the mirador. The final objective of this proposal is to achieve a conscious tourism while boosting the existing conditions of the Natural Park.

BRIDGING
Communities
Project: Residential and mixed uses Location: Cuatro Caminos, Madrid, Spain
Location and Strategy BRIDGING Communities is a project located in Madrid, more specifically in the Chamberi District. Its location is very peculiar as it is were the old “Cocheras de Cuatro Caminos” are, which used to be the garage for the subway trains. Because of the history and the importance they have in Madrid this project aims to make the existing (old cocheras) and the modern (new building for residential purpose mainly) coexist by leaving the cocheras and building in the empty areas, as well as by elevating the buildings to the street level with an elevated path.
Site Plan
Moreover, the buildings will raise on top of the elevated path, which connect the different units at different levels. The buildings will be residential with the peculiarity that whenever the path reaches the buildings, that space will be public and for mixed uses. Enhacing the public areas and trying to promote the social activities between the different communities that are aimed to live in thee buildings.
Conceptual Section Public areas
This elevated path has a highly important purpose. Reconnect the urban fabric, wich is terribly segregated into different communities (Inmigrants, students, families) while leaving the ground floor (where the cocheras are) open and free, exclusively for green areas and cultural activies. With these two main programs the goal is to increase the lack of green areas in Chamberi and try to create a node, a place to gather so as to enhance the sense of community in the district.

REFLECTIONS
in a Box
Project: Informatoin Office Location: Segovia, Spain
Experimentation changes in REFLECTIONS
This Project started with a deep study of the properties of wood. The aim was to create a Tourist Office using wood as the main material. My analyses started by burning wood, which made me notice that this material would gain a property that it doen´t have itself, it would create shades/ reflections. Moreover, I discovered that when I started making movements with the wood, more refelctions were made on the surface of this. (See the picture sequence on the right)
Catalogue showing shades
As the movements that I was making with the piece of wood would just make the reflections increase, and this was because of the different angles that I was creating. My next step was to make ondulations in the surface of the wood so that I didn´t have to move it for it to create shades. I studied the shades that sun was producing on the wood depending on the number of ondulations and the angle of them. Furthermore, as the the sun would play an important role for my study to work, it was highly important to make a study of the sun position. (See the conclusions on the right)

The Kiosk The Information Office is situated in a strategic location in Segovia, next to the famous Alcazar, which is an important touristic point for everyone that is visiting this city. Moreover, the tourist office should be something that merges within the site and also that catches the atention of anyone passing by this area. The concept of this “Reflective box” is very simple, a “box” with clean lines from the outside that suddenly turns into something completely different in the inside. Burned ondulations will appear in the inside with the aim of creating shades in the interior with the intention of creating a space in the interior of this “box” totally unexpected from the outside.

Apart from architecture..... I am passionate about photography. It´s my way to disconnect from the rush of dailylive to focus on the things that happen to be unnoticed. Since I was young I enjoy taking pictures. Now, I have my own instagram account (just for fun) where I like to upload my pictures, all of them taken with my phone. To check my work: @everydaying_365
