C
While Sniffy sat upon a stump something caught his eye
4
Flitting across the meadow green, a yellow butterfly
5
He thought that he might say “Hello” to this bright, yellow thing
6
That bounced along in the breeze like paper on a string
7
So Sniffy happily gave chase to give his glade “Hello”
8
And bounced behind the butterfly where ever it would go
9
From flower bud to blossom bright It danced along in pure delight
10
Oh, it seemed a happy sight This yellow bug in giddy flight
11
No matter how he jumped or ran as hard as he would try
12
Sniffy could not seem to catch that yellow butterfly
13
He followed it as best he could first up the hill then down
14
Never losing sight of it while running all around
15
He ran so fast to keep up with that yellow bouncing dream
16
He did not notice when it flew across an open stream
17
Now we all know that skunks can’t fly But something sure made Sniffy try
18
The butterfly just flew away And Sniffy learned to swim that day
