ANNUAL GENERAL PARTY

The last Friday of February saw us clear space in Head Office to share some beers with all you lovely Beer Club lot! Casks of the very first North x North Beer Club small batch beer, our 8% Toasted Pecan Stout, was pouring all evening and went down a real treat. The beer’s rich, sweet and nutty body made it drink well under it’s ABV and we made a very valiant collective attempt to finish off the liquid. The final remaining untapped cask that didn’t get drunk may have to be put to sleep on something interesting for a future event…

We then discussed the past year for North with John, as well as what’s upcoming for the Beer Club. Head Brewer Seb then talked us through the upcoming releases that feature in this box as we tasted cans fresh off the line. James of Refold fame then took us through his fascinating process of label design for these beers as well as collaborative labels, detailing how assets from other breweries such as logos and motifs are deconstructed and built back up. This turned attention to material we could collect from Beer Club to begin the process of a proper collaborative beer at a much larger scale than our Small Batch ideas, but more on this to come!

Thanks so much to all those who came down, and also those who stayed for stout-fueled Street Fighter and beer pong with North x Cloudwater West Coast Pils (not your average beer pong juice). We had an absolute blast, loved hearing your ideas and sharing beers with you, and can’t wait for the next one!
