Creative energy, passion, and power — the North Carolina Symphony’s musicians bring brilliance to their craft each time they take the stage. Shining a bright light on the excellence of our musicians, the 2020/21 season is brimming with beloved masterworks and celebrates 250 years of Beethoven, one of history’s ultimate music-makers. Joined by inspiring guest conductors and world-renowned guest artists — including violinist Gil Shaham and pianist Emanuel Ax — we’ll share the best of the classical repertoire. Our musicians will deliver Pops tributes to the iconic music of ABBA, Aretha Franklin, the Beatles, and more, and will bring to life the brilliant John Williams movie score for Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Holiday traditions will be made and cherished with heartwarming annual programs — Holiday Pops, Cirque de Noel, and Handel’s Messiah.
