TEXT AND TRANSLATIONS
Kyrie (sung in Greek)
Lord, have mercy
Christ, have mercy
Lord, have mercy
Wie Lieblich sind deine Wohnungen (sung in German)
How lovely are thy dwelling places, O Lord of the Sabbath! My soul yearns for the courts of the Lord My body and soul rejoice in the living God.
How lovely are thy dwelling places, O Lord of the Sabbath! Blessed are those who dwell in thy house - they praise you forever! How lovely are thy dwelling places.
Iam Sol Recedit (sung in Latin)
As fades the glowing orb of day, to Thee, great source of light, we pray; blest Three in One, to every heart Thy beams of life and love impart.
At early dawn, at close of day, to Thee our vows we humbly pay; may we, mid joys that never end, with Thy bright Saints in homage bend.
To God the Father, and the Son, and Holy Spirit, Three in One, be endless glory, as before the world began, so evermore.
O Nata Lux (sung in Latin)
O Light born of Light, Jesus, redeemer of the world, with loving-kindness deign to receive suppliant praise and prayer.
“i thank you God for most this amazing day”
read by Sydney Heitzmani thank You God for most this amazing Day for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes
How should tasting, touching, hearing, seeing, breathing... Any human merely being doubt unimaginable You?
Now the ears of my ears awake and now the eyes of my eyes are opened

“How the Light Comes”
read by Ellie FarisI cannot tell you how the light comes.
What I know is that it is more ancient than imagining.
That it travels across an astounding expanse to reach us. That it loves searching out what is hidden, what is lost what is forgotten or in peril or in pain.
That it has a fondness for the body for finding its way toward flesh for tracing the edges of form for shining forth through the eye, the hand, the heart.
I cannot tell you how the light comes, but that it does. That it will.
That it works its way into the deepest dark that enfolds you, though it may seem long ages in coming or arrive in a shape you did not foresee.
And so may we this day turn ourselves toward it. May we lift our faces to let it find us. May we bend our bodies to follow the arc it makes. May we open and open more and open still to the blessed light that comes.
by Jan Richardson“Everyone Sang”
read by Emma SchaibleEveryone suddenly burst out signing; And I was filled with such delight As prisoned birds must find in freedom, Winging wildly across the white orchards and dark-green fields; on—on—and out of sight.
Everyone’s voice was suddenly lifted; And beauty came like the setting sun; My heart was shaken with tears; and horror drifted away.
O but Everyone was singing; and the song was wordless and the singing will never be done!
