Your admission Incoming Freshmen An admissions formula that contains the applicants’ grade point averages and SAT or ACT scores is used to determine eligibility for admission to Northeastern Illinois University. Students with GEDs: If you are 18 years of age or older, you can be considered for admission upon successful completion of the GED. The SAT or ACT is required if you are under 21 years of age.
Transfer Students Students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all college coursework attended and who are in good academic standing are eligible for admission. If you have earned fewer than 24 semester hours, you must meet the criteria for freshman admission. An A.A. degree or completion of the Illinois Articulation Initiative fulfills Northeastern’s general education requirements. A maximum of 90 semester hours may be transferred from four-year institutions, and no more than 64 hours from a community college (regionally accredited institutions only).
