Welcome

Welcome to Baker City’s Miners Jubilee! Since revitalized in 1982, Miners Jubilee has been Baker City’s signature summer event, drawing families, classmates and former residents back during the third weekend in July every year to celebrate Baker County’s heritage and community. The Baker County Chamber of Commerce is back as manager of Jubilee vendors in Geiser Pollman Park, and as organizer of the Miners Jubilee parade. The Baker City Herald continues to partner with the Chamber as the promotion and communications coordinator, publisher of this booklet and host of the minersjubilee. com website and facebook page. Thanks to our community event partners, Broncs & Bulls, Eastern Oregon Mining Association, Baker City Downtown, Basecamp Baker, Baker County Fairgrounds,Baker Lions Club, Baker Mat Club, Baker High School athletic teams, Baker Heritage Museum, Ash Grove Cement, Community Bank and many others who will play a part in this year’s Miners Jubilee. Welcome, and enjoy your Miners Jubilee weekend, and if you get a chance, say thank you to the volunteers! Kari Borgen, Publisher Baker City Herald
