From design concepts to glass techniques and metal fabrication, every stage of the process is controlled in-house within our purpose-built 38,000 sq ft facility. Here we also produce our range of custom metal finishes and can offer metalwork for bar gantries and decorative screens. Northern Lights were chosen to collaborate with Manchester-based interior designers KONCEPT ID and lighting designer Luke Artingstall of Artin Light to develop bespoke lighting for the array of public areas and guest suites throughout the hotel.
The lighting schedule for the project has been years in the making, so it’s always great to see such an ambitious and carefully considered project with all its moving parts come to life.

Artisan fabricators at Northern Lights worked closely with Front Studio, the concept creators for the chandelier, interior designers Joyn Studio, lighting consultants Lighting Design International, and the Harrods project management team to realise such an ambitious piece in less than eight weeks.
Inspired by the beauty of Swedish Christmas lights, this stunning chandelier is engineered by our designers and artisan fabricators to float effortlessly in mid-air, with only 14 fine suspension wires for such a large statement piece.

The hotel’s design is rooted in traditional 70s alpine charm with urban and modern convenience, while amenities include destination restaurants, cocktail bars and wellness offerings with indoor and outdoor pools.
Our Delaunay chandeliers and Brockwell floor lamps have been perfectly paired in the Parlour bar. The unique design of our Delaunay chandelier gives this fixture an iconic status in our ever-growing catalogue of lighting solutions. Mould-blown clear glass prisms cascade vertically in tiers to create a stunning effect as light diffuses.

The project has seen the historic, Grade-I listed underground vaults of The Royal Exchange transformed over the last three years into a spacious bar and restaurant designed for lively after-work drinks, long lunches and celebratory meals.
The carefully curated revamp of Searcys St. Pancras heralds a new era for the champagne bar by spotlighting the Searcys brand and playing into the historic adventures, romance and excitement associated with rail travel.
With opulent surroundings, the new design will integrate modern design and technology to elevate the guest experience and harmonise with the recently refurbished brasserie. Such opulence is achieved by introducing luxury bespoke lighting designed and manufactured by Northern Lights.
Northern Lights have once before designed and manufactured bespoke decorative lighting for the Cut & Craft franchise, having supplied in recent years to the York branch. In turn, this made the challenge of realising the visions of both Mistry Lighting and Studio Two a desirable feat for our design team, who were well aware of the venue’s brand and the opulence it desired to portray.

The refurbishment of Heythrop Park Hotel has bridged the gap between the Grade II listed 18th-century charming manor house and the contemporary extension, creating an engaging aesthetic that runs through the whole estate.
We were excited and honoured to be specified to create bespoke lighting fixtures for such an incredible project. Our ever-growing portfolio of luxury hotels includes several Grade II listed properties, but nothing on such an enormous scale. Our lighting spans The Orangery, Market Kitchen, Brassey Bar and the theatre.

The challenge of creating such large-scale bespoke fixtures is only attainable when all of the pieces can be handcrafted and tested within an area that can house such massive fixtures, which is where Northern Lights benefits from using our 38,000 sq. ft. Derbyshire facility.
The main feature pendant designed for Maria G’s measures a staggering eleven metres in length, spanning the restaurant’s ceiling and bringing delicate illumination to every area of the establishment. The venue also benefits from our artisan craftsmanship in the form of a stunning gantry bar located in the cocktail lounge.
Northern Lights are no strangers to the world of eccentric interiors. Our designers and fabricators have previously realised the visions of many esteemed interior designers to create weird and wonderful bespoke decorative lighting that enchants guests just as strongly as the interiors. The brief set by Faber Design called for biophilic forms to complement the decorative fauna on show and a range of contemporary and Deco-inspired fixtures to enhance the different areas throughout the venue thematically.

The brief set for Northern Lights was to create bespoke and Signature lighting with a contemporary aesthetic that was both welcoming and restoring.
The soft palette features a bright, fresh feel with a lighting scheme designed to ensure that the restaurant creates a comfortable atmosphere that is complementary to the local aesthetic and food.
