ICE RESCUE/WATER RESCUE RAPID DEPLOYMENT RAFT
www.ndiver-rescue.com
Inflatable Rapid Deployment Raft ICE The RR5 has been designed and developed to be the best and safest ice rescue craft on the market. The raft can easily be inflated using one of our three-way inflator kits and pushed out to the ice to reach the victim. The RR5’s large footprint means it spreads its weight out on the ice giving the users full control and confidence when working on the thinnest of ice. Whilst the user is on the raft they are also protected from falling through a fracture into the water.
RESCUE PLATFORM The RR5 is an excellent choice for rescue teams when performing rescues in flooded areas with lots of scattered debris. It can be floated on top of the water providing a solid platform for the rescuers or first responders or can be used on uneven ground protecting the casualty from flood debris, ice, snow or mud.
SAND & MUD Designed specifically for ice rescue the RR5 can also be used on mud or sand rescue and used as a working platform to extract the casualty from the sand onto the 8cm drop stich floor.

DOG PLATFORM Tethering points along the inside of the RR5 can be used to secure a K-9 to the raft when in use. A multi-grip EVA foam floor can be fitted to the RR5 for extra security when out with the K-9 and handlers.
BODY RETRIEVAL Sometimes a body may need to be recovered and may be in a degree of decomposition, the RR5 can easily be decontaminated using a soft detergent and hard brush allowing it to be ready for the next rescue situation.
PWC The RR5 can easily be towed using a PWC using the reinforced stainless steel d-rings located at the front or back of the RR5.
DIVE PLATFORM The RR5 can be used as a dive platform allowing the user to enter the water from either end of the RR5 without having to struggle or stand up onboard. When the user has finished there dive they can simply enter the RR5 again through one of the openings and pull themselves clear of the water using the reinforced neoprene padded handles located on either end of the raft. INFLATING THE RR5 The RR5 Rescue raft comes with three inflation points, one located on each upper sponson and one built into the top of the floor. The inflation points can be filled manually using the supplied hand pump, DC/AC power pack or with the Northern Diver Saturn inflation kit which is the recommended choice for fast inflation.
REINFORCED SPONSONS On the bottom of each sponson there is PU reinforced strip which allows for the raft to be pulled or dragged along rough terrain without puncturing the bottom of the raft.
RR5 FABRIC AND CONSTRUCTION The RR5 rescue raft has been manufactured using the highest quality 1.2mm PVC fabric which has been internally and externally taped giving superior strength, air retention and peace of mind when working in the most demanding of conditions. When it comes down to build quality we do not stop there, each grab/carry handle on the RR5 has been double taped, double stitched and pull tested to over 70kg.

PATIENT TRANSPORTATION If a casualty is in a difficult situation and is on a spinal board they can be secured to the RR5 floor and floated in the water or dragged on the ice to the safest location possible. The RR5’s drop stitch floor means that even in the roughest of conditions the user will still be fully secure and stable when transporting casualties.
CARRYING THE RR5 The RR5 rescue sled can be carried, rolled away or can be carried fully inflated using the padded handles located around the raft.
