INTERNSHIPS North Lands Creative is seeking interns to participate in the studio activities, which looks to grant an immersive opportunity to work across all aspects of North Lands Creative studio life. The chosen candidates will work alongside our Technical Manager and residency artists to produce work in the studio, perform tours and deliver workshops and live demonstrations. Your contribution will be valued and support our programme moving forward, leaving you with some invaluable, practical skills and experience. The intern can expect to gain experence and develop their skills in teamwork, studio duties, maintenance and dealing with the studio students and visitors. Internship duties will be variable and dependant on the programme.

FORUM North Lands Creative Forum began in 1995 where our co-founder and artistic director Dan Klein wanted to create an intimate gathering for the glass community to come together and showcase the work of emerging and innovative practice in the field of glass.

Design-led Studio Glass residency offers artists whom a change of scenery may inspire fresh ideas with a view to realising a body of work for production enabling the artist to produce a prototype/ small production run for new markets. Sustainable Studio Glass residency offers artists to develop and greater utilise eco-design and manufacture principles in their practice. The residencies have potential to be developed in consultation with Creative Carbon groups, Zero Waste initiatives and local peer groups.

SElf-directed AiR north lands creative selfdirected residencies are self-funded, noninstructional program. participants work independently in our spaces. we welcome artists from diverse disciplines who are interested in creating work with, or inspired by elements that are specific to the environment of caithness. we charge a subsidised fee on accommodation and studio rental, allowing more artists to benefit from time, space and freedom to research, create and develop their practice and ideas. artforms we can facilitate are architecture, crafts, cross discipline, digital, education, film, literature, performing arts, music and visual arts.
