Glass Lives Week explores the human relationship with glass making and material. Uncovering some of the exceptional European master artisans using long-held traditions, skills and knowledge. Glass Lives Week celebrates the visionary embodiment of both creativity and craftsmanship by European master artisans at the highest level of excellence. Supported by the EU Creative Europe Programme, collaboration lies at the heart of what the ISGNE network represents, encouraging exchange and fostering a sense of building a stronger glass community. The core programme will be presented digitally starting on the 19th November on our Glass Lives Week web page: https://northlandscreative.co.uk/glass-lives/ Featuring documentaries, films, podcasts, exhibition and interviews Glass Lives Week is an opportunity to engage with artists, makers, designers and a diverse audience, to share ideas and be inspired.

ABOUT ISGNE is an ambitious transnational cooperation programme focusing on the vibrant field of glass. We have formed a dynamic 4-organisation partnership across Europe led by North Lands Creative UK in partnership with Berlin Glas e.V. Germany, Ltd. Stikla Maja Latvia and the National College of Art and Design Ireland. Funded by Creative Europe and Creative Scotland. ISGNE offers a diverse range of programming including Cultural Events, Workshops, Publications, Network, Residency Programme, Forums & Exhibitions. Glass Lives Week 2020 Creative Collaborators CREATIVE ME PODCAST ICA HEADLAM Creative Me Podcast is a weekly show about art, culture, and all the other kinds of creativity focued on the North East of Scotland. Creadtive Me Podcast hosted Ica Headlam is a space in which art and creativity can be shared, celebrating a diverse range of creativity and culture. Ica has an interest in stories that connect us as individuals and is an advocate for supporting the arts in Scotland and within his local community. Ica a children and families social worker.
ISGNE DOCUMENTARY FILM MAKER THOMAS HOGBEN Thomas Hogben is a Scottish based filmmaker who’s focus is on making creative and engaging films that explore the people and stories he finds throughout his life. He began his career at Napier University, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Photography & Film Production in 2008. Following this, he completed an MSc in Animation and Visualisation in 2013, alongside working on a number of short films, which featured at festivals in both Europe and America. Drawn back to the Highlands of Scotland in 2014 by the remoteness, big scenery, people and their stories he has continued to push himself creatively, and use filmmaking as a way to tell stories in an interesting and thought-provoking way.
