Founded in 1891 by the Evangelical Covenant Church, North Park continues to embody Covenant affirmations. This means that we value respectful discussion and engagement among people of all beliefs. Here, you’ll encounter different Christian traditions among faculty and students as part of a diverse academic community.
At North Park, Chicago is your classroom, your playground, and your home as you find your place in the world. We’re the first University in the nation to dedicate time in our weekly class schedule to engage the city. Catalyst 606 offers faculty-guided group excursions as part of your coursework.
Almost half of our students identify as persons of color, a fact that brings rich diversity to every aspect of campus life. North Park recently was named an Hispanic Serving Institution, a prestigious designation awarded only to those universities that provide equitable outcomes for its Hispanic students.
