Wedding Vision We went over a ton of ideas and it was hard to agree on anything but we decided to go with a very “royal” theme. Elegant and Classy. We used royal colors like gold, burgundy and navy. Cody wanted to stand out, so we decided burgundy for him. We are VERY extra so we wanted to pull out all the stops. Also we had a long engagement so we had a lot of time to plan and look at new and fascinating ideas. We definitely wanted to stand out and give the wow factor. Advice to Couples Take your time! I tried to plan our entire wedding the first month of being engaged. It didn’t go very well. But after we just took a breath and enjoyed being engaged everything just fell into place. Don’t sweat the small stuff it will work out in the end. I highly recommend asking for recommendations for vendors and your venue. People who have experience and great reviews. We went with a ton of recommendations and I’m so glad we did! It turned out beautiful and every vendor was amazing.

Describe Your Wedding Day Our wedding was definitely a day no one will forget… including the fire department. We had a ton of rain that week so we were sure the wedding was going to have to be moved inside, but the weather said it was supposed to be a nice sunny day, and it was. Everything worked almost as planned. Our bridal party was just about to be announced and the fog machine set the fire alarm off. Needless to say we had a few unexpected guests arrive.. our local fire department. They were great sports and we even got a photo with them as the DJ played “Fire Burning On The Dance Floor.” Everything was beautiful, the weather, the venue, the cake, the decorations, the bridal party and especially my groom! It was a day many will remember. All the vendors just went with the flow. We had a neon sign and a marquee sign that just lit up our wedding. The venue and such natural lighting made for amazing photos. The wedding planner, DJ, and Videographer helped capture the most perfect sparkler exit! It was definitely the best day of my life.

Describe Your Engagement On a trip in Arizona to visit Dalton’s sister, we planned a hike to Devil's Bridge. When on the “bridge” after taking photos, I started to walk back as Dalton said my name. I turned around and he was on one knee. In disbelief, I uttered, “What are you doing!” And he asked again! I obviously said yes! Wedding Vision Simple, full of family, meaningful. We want to remember all the love surrounding us on our special day. Copper Rock Steakhouse, inside Four Winds Casino, creates the most scrumptious dinner options for you and your guests! Their chef made a 26 ounce thick cut bone-in ribeye steak with a one pound baked potato and sauteed wild mushrooms. They also served a 10 ounce Surf and Turf filet with a twice baked potato and broccolini. Not to mention Dover Soul Meuniere with mashed potatoes, and steamed asparagus. The choices were divine just as they would be for any event.

Our model, Valerie Soy, looked absolutely stunning in a slightly plunging sweetheart neckline gown with intricate lace details on the bodice and train from Paris House of Bridal. The sheer lace cutouts on the side of the gown accentuated Valerie’s waist creating a beautiful hourglass shape! Valerie has every girl’s “dream hair” that fell to the lower part of her back! Hair by Kelsie did an amazing job at creating a low curled bun with front loose face framing pieces showcasing the back of her gown. Allee Do My Makeup incorporated the winter colors from this shoot and did a plum and mauve smokey eye and mauve lip which created a dramatic yet classy flair!

Describe Your Wedding Vision While trying to envision our wedding and searching for inspiration, we fell in love with the industrial-chic style. The second we stepped into The Brick, our reception hall, we knew it would be the perfect place for us to celebrate our marriage. The raw, beautiful space of The Brick was something that we didn’t think we would ever find in Indiana, but we were so pleasantly surprised when we walked through the doors. What might be unappealing to some, with the exposed brick, pipes, and cement floors, were exactly what we desired for our wedding. That might sound crazy but with our modern decor, beautiful cake, and our layout of the room, we created a space that took our breath away. We made sure to incorporate candles and lights in as many places as we could, including the tables, the lights from the ceiling at The Brick, and our amazing neon sign. We also loved how the greenery and flowers brought life to the setting, as we used them on all of our tables and our cake! The Brick was the perfect place for our reception and everything we could have dreamed of! Your Advice to Engaged Couples My advice to engaged couples would be to enjoy every little moment of their engagement. There is something about the engagement period that is so exciting and anticipatory that you won’t be able to get back. Use every minute to build a stronger relationship with your fiancé, to fall more in love, and to create 44

the wedding of your dreams! Don’t stress about the little things that you won’t be able to control because there definitely will be things that happen that you weren’t able to plan for. And remember that your end goal is to marry the love of your life, the rest of the planning is ultimately just celebrating that love that you share! If you are married to your soulmate by the end of your wedding day, then your wedding can be classified as a success! Describe Your Wedding Day Our wedding day was crazy but perfect! The week before our wedding day, we checked the weather every single day, multiple times a day. No matter how much we checked, the predictability of thunderstorms did not go away. We ended up ordering enough umbrellas for everyone in our wedding party and just decided to go with the flow of the weather. Sure enough on our wedding day, there were thunderstorms, tornadoes, and power outages. Even though all of these things happened we stayed calm and remembered that God had a plan for our day. Sure enough, we still got all of our beautiful pictures outside, our bubble exit at the church, and our sparkler exit at the end of the night. At the end of the day, we got married and all of our family and friends were able to be a part of marriage and celebrate with us, which was all that mattered. We wouldn’t change a thing about our day!

Candlelight and florals added just the right amount of warmth and beauty.
The invitations are your guests first glimpse into the style you chose for your wedding. XOXO Invites created a beautifully illustrated example of Simple Elegance. A modern yet classic feel with a touch of whimsical that was carried through to the table menu design and blended perfectly with the black beaded charger plates and black velvet napkins each delicately wrapped with greenery and a single flower from Sugarfield Florist.
Sugarfield also worked together with How Sweet It Is Events to create one-of-a-kind centerpieces that are sure to impress. Black metal frames, glass stemmed cylinders, greenery, florals and lots of candlelight combine to create an enchanting display. Dim the room lights, and the florals are glowing from pinspot lighting provided by MB Events. The drapery backdrop is nothing short of stunning in its design and further enhanced with just the right lighting.

Emily Dupree Beauty highlighted her natural beauty perfectly with subtle yet elegant makeup, while Cheri from Top Knot Bridal finished the look with a perfectly styled and gorgeous updo. Add in a touch of fun with a colorful bouquet from Kris at Sugarfield Flowers.
To finish the look, Katelyn looked absolutely breathtaking in the wedding dress provided by Something Blue Bridal. Perfectly Glamorous is the only way to describe how jaw-dropping she looked in the black dress. All the photos were beautifully captured by Trysh Jaeger Photography.

This rustic, elegant and refined vintage charm is surrounded by cornfields, dense woods and the most perfect location for any wedding season! Marion Magnolia Farms can hold up to 299 guests, an open concept with six large barn
doors that can be open or closed, stunning chandeliers, large bridal suite, centerpiece rentals and even a wedding coordinator on-site to help plan your big day. PaperThread, a division of Merry Me Events, designed the stationery. The black, white and gold embroidery was a simple yet very elegant look, setting the mood for your guest to attend your wedding. Let’s all take a moment and soak in how beautiful this gown from Simply Yours Bridal and Formal Wear is. And…how versatile it is! Strapless, long sleeves and spaghetti straps. How can we choose? Brittany File looked stunning in all three options. The details on this gown are remarkable. We love all the lace detail and intricate beading throughout the bodice and train.
Ashley Urban Artistry did an amazing job creating a dramatic smokey eye but kept the lips a nude color. The look was very subtle yet edgy! Hair updos are making a comeback and we are LOVING it! Hair By Samye designed a wispy low bun that looked so effortless yet we could never recreate it. It was the perfect style for the headpiece that Brittany wore that was created by Merry Me.

My dress was the first thing I picked out before making any other decisions and from there everything just fell into place. The ladies at Amaranthos Events did an incredible job making both venues look spectacular. I mean these ladies went above and beyond all my expectations. My vision came to life in a big way. Your Advice to Engaged Couples Don’t sweat the small stuff. There will be things that do not go the way you planned but in the end, no one will know the difference and everyone is there to celebrate your unity. Describe Your Wedding Day Other than being one of the hottest days of the year it was the best day of our lives! From the start of the day, it was hectic and going by so quickly. Our ceremony space was at a different location than our reception so making sure both venues were decorated and ready was a bit stressful but my wedding coordinators made all my worries disappear. They took care of every little issue. I could not have enjoyed the day if I did not have them every step of the way! Our ceremony was outside and it was extremely hot so we made it quick and personal by doing our own vows which I am so happy we did, one of my favorite parts of the day. Once we got to the reception the party was on! Drinks, dancing, and a little bit of blackjack filled the night all the way to the end. It was everything we hoped it would be and more.

We did our first site visit to North Lake Weddings and Events when the venue was still under construction and managing through a year of COVID. We were so impressed with the attention to detail and beautiful atmosphere this new venue was surrounded by. We couldn't wait to see it all come together in early fall. Our bride, Abby, gave us full design freedom to create a modern bohemian vibe.
