Advice
I would definitely advise students to complete a sandwich/placement year. This is because it gives you an opportunity to work with professionals in a real workplace setting. This is advantageous as it gives you an idea of what a workplace is like in regard to your course. It is a very useful experience that sets you up for final year in a beneficial way.
Roles and Responsibilities
o My placement was mostly from home and so completing the work I had been given was my complete responsibility.
o My role within my placement included many different things.
o For example, I had the role of completing data collection forms and taking photographs of displays.
o My main responsibility was to go through paperwork and find out how each display came to be at the museum.
o I also had the responsibility of setting my own deadlines for certain tasks.
