Shop local
We all know the benefits of shopping local, but shopping in a local market can be even more beneficial as you are supporting numerous small traders all at once…
The Colwyn Bay Artisan Market runs on the third Saturday of the month, except for its Christmas market which will be on the second weekend as a one off.
As it was last year, the Christmas market is a fancy dress occasion once again! Taking place between 10am and 4pm on
11th December, at Station and Seaview Road’s in Colwyn Bay, the Christmas market traders would love for kids and adults alike to come in their finest festive fancy dress!
The artisans themselves will also be dressing up, plus there will be voucher prizes to spend on the market for the best child, adult and artisan trader fancy dress costume.
In total there will be over 60 artisan stalls selling everything
from cupcakes and brownies, local art and photography, Christmas gifts and decorations, top quality crafts, artisan
cheeses, artisan wine, beer and spirits, award winning fudge, handmade candles and cosmetics, vintage clothing, ceramics and flowers.
There will also be hot street food and a mobile bar, along with a photo booth, kids carousel, magician and other street entertainment. We’ve also heard a rumour that Father Christmas will be there!
And, a bit further down the coast, Bangor Market has been relaunched and is taking place every Friday between now and Christmas (apart from Christmas Eve).
The streets of Bangor will once again be lined with exciting market stalls both old and new, with lots to discover and reminisce. There’ll be plenty of familiar faces with many of the original traders returning, alongside new traders and artisans joining Bangor Market for the very first time!
With fresh Welsh produce, meats, sweets, gifts, crafts and all your home, garden and lifestyle essentials, there’s every reason to come down and enjoy the return of your local weekly market.
You can find Bangor Market on the High Street in the centre of
the city on Friday’s from 9am to 4.30pm. So pop on down, and
support your local traders, shops and small businesses – and embrace the buzz back on Bangor High Street once again. n
