2022 NW Aviation Conference and Trade Show
TAKE FLIGHT AT NWAC
TakeFlight’s mission is to fundamentally change the economy and availability of flight instruction. The company has developed a virtual flight instructor and curriculum, which today teaches private pilot skills in the Cessna 172 via 43 scenarios arranged into 17 separate lessons.
TakeFlight runs on Windows PC simulators with popular software simulators including Prepar3D, X- Plane 11, and Microsoft FSX using either flat displays or virtual reality goggles. It can run on everything up to large, full flight simulators. The basic simulator with TakeFlight and controls costs the user under $1,000 and many home PCs are already TakeFlight capable, so one need only to buy some software and flight controls (pedals, yoke/joystick).
Using TakeFlight, prospective trainees can gain many of the skills they’ll need to be knowledgeable and comfortable in the cockpit once training begins: maneuver, sight pictures, emergency procedures, and more. For young people interested in aviation, it is a powerful engagement tool.
The group has worked with over sixty youth events including Girls in Aviation, EAA, Sun ‘n Fun, Civil Air Patrol, Young Eagles events as well as attnded the NW Aviation Conference with Teen Flight for the last three years. The added attraction of simulation flight has consistently transformed these youth outreach events and programs by providing real time hands-on skill development as well as interactive entertainment and engagement..
Gary Kowack, representative and presenter for TakeFlight will be demontrating the flight sim capabilities at NWAC. Learn more at his seminar, February 26 at 3:00 in the Career Forum Theater. The event is open to everyone. Additional information at: www.TakeFlightInteractive.com
