WHAT IS CELE? The Center for English Language Education (CELE) provides students of all ages and backgrounds with the necessary English training to help them accomplish their educational and professional goals.
PROGRAM OPTIONS: ESL CLASSES Intensive English instruction designed to prepare students for university-level studies within an English speaking context.
SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS Customizable English and cultural programs for high school and university students.
TEACHER TRAINING Professional development programs for ESL and subject-matter teachers.

When a student comes to study, they take a placement test. Depending on their test score, CELE staff will place them in one of four distinct levels.

Levels Three and Four are Bridge Level. Once a student reaches Bridge they begin taking traditional undergraduate classes alongside CELE classes.

Students can matriculate out of the CELE program and into an undergraduate or graduate program by passing Level Four or by scoring at TOEFL 80/90 (undergrad/grad).
