MASTER OF EDUCATION DEGREE You are an experienced teacher. You shape minds and engage hearts every day. You change lives. It’s time to follow that desire to become an even better teacher—one that leads more effectively in your classroom, in your school, and in your district. The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program will equip you to take the next step in your professional development, moving your career forward. Why wait? At NU, you’ll learn how to shape your school and its students with the very best that is in you. For more information, call our enrollment counselor at 425-889-7794.

With our M.Ed. program, you can choose from three highly applicable concentrations:
worlds: face-to-face interaction with professors and colleagues, without fighting traffic every week.
Affordable An education that will advance your career is more affordable than you might think. In fact, our tuition is among the most competitive you’ll find. And, once you’ve graduated, there’s a good chance that a pay raise will accompany your accomplishment.
Quality Education You’ll learn from experienced professors, as well as master practitioners teaching in local schools. A master’s degree from NU’s College of Education is highly regarded in the profession and will give you the practical tools you’re looking for.
Career Advancement Increasingly, advanced degrees are common, if not necessary, in private and public school settings. Our M.Ed. offers you increased expertise, which often leads to more leadership opportunities in schools and at the district level.
Teacher Leadership prepares you to take up a leadership role (e.g., induction mentor, curriculum coach, etc.) in your school or district. Data-Driven Instruction prepares you to lead data-driven assessment work that impacts student learning. English Language Learner equips you with research-based strategies for working more effectively with English language learners. (Includes eligibility for the WA State ELL endorsement).
