THIS SCIENTIST NOT ONLY EXPERIMENTS, HE INSPIRES. Craig Day had a successful career as a molecular biologist. His research focused on developing vaccines to combat infectious diseases. But as his family began to grow, Craig discovered another passion: teaching kids. He enrolled in NU’s Master in Teaching program and found himself with a full-time job teaching science in about one year. “My love for science came from a middle school teacher. I want to be that same example today for my students in the Snohomish County area—to use my research background to inspire in them an appreciation for science.”
