Northwest University began as Northwest Bible Institute back in 1934. Equipping men and women for effective ministry has been the core of our mission from the very beginning. While other ministry programs have come and gone or have moved away from sound biblical doctrine, we are still faithfully rooted in the unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years, hundreds of our ministry graduates have gone on to make a significant impact for the Kingdom of God. Some have made a difference locally. Others have had a national or global reach. DR. JOSHUA ZIEFLE, DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF MINISTRY. Dr. Joshua Ziefle was a tenured professor at Northwest University in both the College of Ministry and the history department before becoming Dean of the College of Ministry. He taught courses in biblical interpretation, discipleship, youth ministry, and preaching, and is an expert in church history. As a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God serving churches on the East Coast before coming to NU, Dr. Ziefle loves to encourage pastors and believers as they serve the Kingdom of God within the context of the local church and beyond. In fact, most of our College of Ministry professors have been pastors as well. This means that each student will receive excellent pastoral training as they approach the field of vocational ministry. Our faculty and staff are prepared to walk with you every step of the way on your journey to your degree, because we exist to serve the Church.
