COMMITTED TO THE UNCHANGING GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST SINCE 1934. Northwest University began as Northwest Bible Institute back in 1934. Equipping men and women for effective ministry has been the core of our mission from the very beginning. While other ministry programs have come and gone or have moved away from sound biblical doctrine, we are still faithfully rooted in the unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years, hundreds of our ministry graduates have gone on to make a significant impact for the Kingdom of God. Some have made a difference locally. Others have had a national or global reach. Yet they all had one thing in common. These men and women weren’t just called to ministry. They were well equipped as leaders. Today, the focus at Northwest University’s College of Ministry remains the same: to prepare adaptive leaders who are trained to bring the unchanging gospel to people in need of good news and to be the difference in their organizations. Essentially, our goal is to train Kingdom leaders through transformative education. If you are considering an advanced degree in ministry, choose a university with a rich, successful history in equipping its students. For more information, contact us at 425-889-7795.

CULTURALLY RELEVANT. BIBLICALLY SOUND. When Jason Deuman was looking for a graduate degree in theology, he wanted one that would challenge him to effectively engage with today’s culture. Most importantly, he sought a program that was biblically sound. He found both with our M.A. program. “I was taught by great professors who were always willing to wrestle with tough questions—but always from a biblical perspective. At NU, I learned how to think about and teach the Bible well.”
