Founded in 1814, North Yarmouth Academy is an independent, college preparatory, coeducational school serving toddlers through twelfth grade students. NYA features a challenging curriculum in a supportive school environment, offering students small classes, personal attention, and the opportunity to pursue a rich variety of activities in athletics, academics, the arts, and community service. NYA has an enrollment of 300 students and the average class size is 15. Admission is selective. Our successful applicants typically have a strong academic track record, good character, and additional talents in the arts and/or athletics that they can contribute to the school community. Our strongest applicants have a broad range of interests and a desire to participate widely in a small school community. The admission process includes an application, interview, academic transcript, teacher recommendations, and admission testing.
