The course The Norwich City CSF College Football Programme at Carrow Road is an outstanding opportunity for local, talented footballers, between the ages of 16-19, to continue their academic, footballing and career development with Norwich City Football Club. The programme’s base at Carrow Road ensures that players have access to excellent facilities throughout the week. A-state-of-the-art fitness centre, large sportshall and 3G training pitch mean that players can prepare professionally for fixtures.
Pre-season All students will access a full four-week pre-season programme in August, including two weeks of residential experiences, to ensure players are ready for the start of the season socially as well as physically and having developed a strong team bond prior to the first set of fixtures.
The football Coaching programme A comprehensive football coaching programme allows for team and individual development through a series of technical and tactical sessions across the week, based around the 11-a-side game. Players will also take part in a series of Futsal activities and fixtures to support their technical development, mobility and overall in game decision making.
Fixture programme Players selected for squads will have the opportunity to represent Norwich City Football Club in the Conference Youth Alliance against other professional clubs and college programmes. In addition, the programme will complement existing under-18 football to ensure that players are supported in their transition into the next stages of their football journey.
Sports science Performance analysis Games are filmed, which provides the coaching staff the opportunity to reflect on performances with the players, to identify strengths and areas for development both individually and as a team. Additionally, the level of coverage allows for players looking to seek overseas scholarships to be supported with highlight videos for their applications.
Physiotherapy The programme’s designated physiotherapist is able to support and guide the squad to ensure that players are at peak performance levels and support them with injury recovery and rehabilitation.
Peak physical performance Players have access to top facilities at Riverside Leisure Centre, such as the state-of-the-art gym and the virtual my-ride spinning studio. Each student is provided with a personal development plan, which enables them to develop physically and maximise performance.
