Starts with a smile It is amazing how the little things in life can make such a difference when you’re having a bad day. After a horrible start to his morning, one filled with flat tires, dead batteries, and forgetting things, James went to the beach to take his daily surf report photos. On the walk back to his truck he was feeling pretty down. It was at that moment he glanced at the back window of his truck where someone had written the word “smile” conjoined with a smiley. That was all it took to change the rest of the day for James as he returned to work as his normal happy self. It’s the little things in life we do that can turn someone’s day around and it can easily be started with a smile in any shape or form

Why do it? To improve your surfing - Opens up tight back muscles from paddling and challenges stability and strengthens hamstrings by placing feet on the foam roller. How to? Place feet hip width apart on top of the foam roller. Pressing arms into the mat articulate spine up and down slowly to open up spinal muscles.

Why do it? To improve your surfing- Increases strength in the leg muscles, while stretching the back and strengthening the abdominals. This will improve pop-ups.
Mountain Climber on the Wunda Chair
How to? Correct spring setting on a split peddle Wunda Chair. Round the back with the abs contracting and alternate the legs at a brisk pace.
Why do it? To improve your surfing - Increases abdominal strength and stretch the back muscles important for all aspects of surfing. How to? Place feet on the floor or in chair position. Curl up to the tip of your shoulder blades with arms extended of the mat. Moving from the shoulder joint keeping the arms straight create a pumping action. Inhale for 5 counts, exhale for 5 counts for 10 sets.
Hundreds Why do it? To improve your surfing - Increase strength in shoulder and back muscles for paddling. The focus is on the abdominals engaging to support the back and an elongation of the neck muscles, to prevent injuries.
Pulling Straps on the Reformer
How to? Place box on the Reformer Length wise with the correct spring setting for the client. Hold onto the straps, inhale as you pull the straps with straight arms to the hips and return to a flat back or relaxed position. Nosara Shack Surf Mag
