Fazenda Santana do Rio Abaixo, Jacareí , SP, Brazil (18,500,000m2, 25,000units for100,000 inhabitants) The project is situated between Jacareí and São José dos Campos. It is adjacent to a new industrial area which includes the future car manufacturing plant of CHERY motors. The site is situated in a hilly area with many natural restrictions. The proposal is of an self sufficient ‘city’ of about 100,000 inhabitants. The proposal includes a central district with large commercial and business facilities, convention centre, shopping centers, hotels, hospital, educational and sport facilities. My role included a fundamental redesign of the project, redefining the urban structure, city centre and neighbourhood centers. Also introducing a hierarchy in the road system and street sections, residential building typologies, building heights and setbacks.
Fazenda São Bento, São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil (~2,000,000m2) The project is located at the southern gateway to the industrial and research city of São José dos Campos. Adjacent to the Embraer commercial aircraft company where a future passenger terminal is planned. I participated in the very early initial phase of analysis and conceptual proposal for the site. Including: macro context, scale-comparison analysis, views and vistas, zoning and circulation system.
Future Expansion - Inhotim, Brumadinho, MG, Brazil The proposal analyses possible expansion opportunities surrounding the Inhotim Art park. Emphasis on new tourism facilities and opportunities for accommodation and leisure as well as residential and commercial areas. I participated in the very early initial phase of analysis and conceptual proposal for the site and surroundings.

interests Exploring Cities I have always been fascinated with cities and the built environment. I like to explore cities, analyse their structure, stroll through unknown neighbourhoods and experience the different atmospheres. I am also fascinated by discovering different traditions and cultures. I travel frequently and explore cities world-wide while documenting my visits through photographs. This helps me in understanding urbanism and assists in the creation of countless case-studies which I can learn from.
Maps My fascination with cities and the way they work, together with a hobby of map collecting, lead me to draw maps in a very early age (around 10 years old). In this hobby, imaginary cities would be designed and drawn. These maps, or cities, would get more sophisticated and complex through time. Later on the hobby would be put to work at ‘Mapa’ a leading map company in Israel, followed by work at the Mapping Unit. The desire to design cities, lead me to naturally choose the architectural area where I chose to focus on urban design.
Artwork / Graphic Design I am interested in graphic design and photography. I have designed logos, posters and t-shirts for various purposes and events including assisting a music label. I am particularly interested in urban landscapes and have produced a series of artworks based on my urban photographs. I plan to compose a visual book with these artworks. Additionally some of my artwork can be seen on the website: www.redbubble.com/people/noslegof
Electronic Music My preferred music genre is Electronic music which is an extremely wide and varied genre. I particularly enjoy IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) and Ambient music by such artists as Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Autechre and Clark (to name just a few). I am an avid listener and spend a lot of my time enjoying this passion.
