A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO In looking at my message from last year, I noted that I started out by saying, “Wow, what a year!” Not to be redundant, but WOW, WHAT A YEAR!!! 2013 was another record-breaking year, with $1,439,446,411 in closed sales. That’s 11% higher than 2012, which was at the time the highest annual reported sales volume in the history of the company. Nothnagle agents continue to outperform the market. Our closed volume was up nearly 11% over the previous year, while the MLS reported growth in Western New York of 8%. In the Rochester market, Nothnagle agents represented 44% of the consumers who bought or sold a house last year. We continue to expand our footprint into other markets as well, opening a second

company-owned branch in the Buffalo market. Our new Orchard Park office effectively serves the Southtowns of Buffalo, while our Amherst office can help those in the Northtowns. Our growth in the Buffalo market has been truly organic, having built up both offices from the ground up versus through acquisitions. Buffalo sales volume almost reached $80 million across all Nothnagle brands in the market. That’s a 23% increase over 2012 sales. Nothnagle Realtors is a significant economic factor in the communities we operate in. A healthy real estate market provides the local economy with a tremendous boost on many levels. The National Association of REALTORS® estimates for each home sold, it puts $58,000 into the economy from the income earned by the

professionals involved in the transaction through all of the many purchases buyers and sellers make before, during and after the transaction. In 2013, Nothnagle Realtors paid out over $36 million in agent commissions and employee wages. Nearly $9 million was paid to local companies and vendors we do business with in the areas surrounding all of our branches. This is money that then gets circulated back into the local economy through restaurants, car dealers, retails and other service providers.

MARKETING

Nothnagle Insurance was ranked 3rd in the entire New York Region by Allstate for total sales in 2013. Our success is a clear indication that buyers want one-stop shopping. When we send them a FREE quote, we often hear how grateful they are that we just took something off their "To Do" list! Buyers rave about their agent's ability to offer this convenient service to them. Buyers who have just completed a transaction with a Nothnagle agent are already SOLD on Nothnagle and combined with the customer service Nothnagle Insurance is able to offer, it's a win-win for everyone. We're not only in the insurance business, we're in the business of adding value for ALL Nothnagle agents.

After 23 years, Dan Nothnagle left to pursue his dream with Three Heads Brewery. We’ve been ramping up staffing in the Department, having added three people recently. We now have four designers dedicated to agent projects, and one designer focusing on corporate and departmental projects. As one of the few companies nationwide with a full-service in-house marketing team, our two main priorities are to continuing to provide exemplary customer service while looking for additional marketing options to promote our agents in an effort to increase their business and get more exposure for our clients. In early 2014, we will be offering a wide selection of updated templates to choose from in our catalog, as well as additional online options for social media and electronic distribution. We are also working on a brand new (easier to use) ordering system that will provide many new options such as lower minimum orders, price breaks for larger quantities, bundled pricing for packages (both print and online), automatic drip campaigns to choose from and more catalog offerings.

RELOCATION

AGENT DASHBOARD

The 2013 LeadingRE final report is out and Nothnagle Relocation had a great year! Our outgoing referral close to ratio went from 37% in 2012 to 51% in 2013! That is Amazing!!! Congratulations to all of you who placed outgoing referrals! Keep in mind, your clients do not have to be moving from Rochester for you to place an outgoing referral. Much of 2013 was spent first creating and building stateof-the-art “data model,” which is one of its kind in the real estate industry and will allow us to actually patent some of the technology. The next part of the project was to then build the new agent dashboard to assist our agents in managing and growing their business. It turned into a much more comprehensive and intensive project than we started with but the results are worth it! 2014 will be spent converting the remaining tools, tying everything to the data model, improving internal departmental operations to create more efficiencies while making agent modules easier to use to place ads, reserve TV spots, order marketing materials, etc.

HOME SERVICES

NOTHNAGLE ACADEMY If you build it, they will come! In 2013 the number of new agents joining the Academy doubled as compared to the previous year. Classes now run on a consistent basis every Tuesday and Thursday and are open to both new and experienced agents. We have also added RECHARGE, which is an intense 10-week program for experienced agents who want to re-focus and take their business to a new level. So far over 40 experienced agents have gone through this course and received their certifications. In addition, our Wired Wednesdays continue to focus on technology for Realtors. These workshops are held the last Wednesday of every month; and the current focus has been on Instanet and Authentisign. For 2014, our Institute OnLine Training will be more robust! Stay tuned!

BRANCH NEWS We added Orchard Park (10 agents) and Geneva (8 agents). We moved Naples office to a new (bigger) location so we can continue to effectively service our clients and customers in the area.
