“When Nothing Became Everything” Interface/ Graphic Design Curriculum Project Title: When Nothing Became Everything Process: Research, Analysis, Response Senior Studio Degree Project This interface sets out to prove that John Cage’s seminal 4’33” is one of the greatest works of art ever made. Completely passive and silent, it cleverly forces the audience to confront what art is about. It gives the viewer the ability to create completely random compositions just by clicking on the screen. The compositions are drawn from over 150 researched and written visual and verbal pieces that relate to 4’33”. This piece is at once artful and educational.

Connectome Interface/ project exampleproject Graphic Design Curriculum Project Title: I am my Connectome

Process: Research, Analysis, Response Senior Studio Degree Project A commentary on nature v. nurture, “I Am My Connectome” posits that neural brain pathways are developed through experience, not strictly through genetic predetermination. This interface actively takes the viewer through changes that occur through life’s cycle using engaging, interactive graphic interpretations of scientific theorems.
