Summer 2022

THINK BIG NEWS Since launching in November 2021, we have worked with 21 secondary schools (including SEND schools and Alternative Provision) across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire engaging with a total of 6,098 students. Bookings are still taking place for the remainder of the summer term, and we have started securing dates with schools for next academic year.

THINK BIG AMBASSADORS Along with our core programme offer we are launching Think Big Ambassadors. These are employees of Nottingham Forest and Ideagen from a variety of roles in tech and sport that are available to book for online engagements. Think Big Ambassadors have been trained to be role models within tech and sport and are on hand to share their career journeys (including things they have overcome), give an insight into their job roles, discuss the skills they use and to engage in a Q&A with students. The sessions have been designed with the support of Nottingham Academy to maximum teacher and student engagement. To make a booking please email us at thinkbig@nottinghamforest.co.uk

THE

THINK BIG SCHOOL OFFER

AN INTRODUCTION TO THINK BIG (FILM) The Think Big programme kicks-off with a five-minute film, shot, directed, and produced in Nottingham - about Nottingham and technology. Students explore the city in a way never seen before. Going from the Market Square to the City Ground and ending at Ideagen, students learn how Nottingham is a leading city for technology, how tech is transforming all careers and how it influences roles at Nottingham Forest and Ideagen. We have capacity to deliver this to every secondary school in the city and the county.

THINK BIG WORKSHOPS One-hour workshops include a mix of taught activity and group challenges. Themes are Nottingham & Tech, Sport & Tech and the Diversity of Roles in tech. Workshops are delivered in school by Nottingham Forest Community Trust. We have SEND and mainstream versions of each activity. We have capacity to deliver this to every secondary school in the city and the county.

School Voice – Stone Soup Academy This academic year we have been lucky enough to link with both Ideagen and Nottingham Forest Community Trust to participate in the Think Big Programme. We have attended several workshops at the City Ground involving a variety of students from Stone Soup Academy. We have also visited Ideagen’s offices in Ruddington. The programme encourages them to think big about their futures and reinforces that the possibilities of success are everywhere around us, especially in Nottingham.

“The impact of these workshops is great and helps students focus when back at school. It helps them set aspirational targets and motivates them to be successful.“ Duncan Bennett Head of Sciences, Business and Enterprise, Stone Soup Academy
