Reshape is an online platform promoting research, education and production of digital ideas, focusing on innovative processes of design and fabrication towards the reformulation of a new market that relies on knowledge economy. By merging experts from many different fields we create a highly selected network of knowledge and production by building a global community of designers and makers. The distributed network of fabrication of Reshape includes Fab Labs and Maker Space, all equipped with digital fabrication machines such as laser cutters, 3d printers, milling machines and robotic arms. Education is the core of our belief. We are setting up several initiatives from international competitions to publications and exhibitions. The ultimate goal of this process is to activate a prolific exchange of knowledge and information for the growth of an entire community connected by its passion for innovation. Reshape thus becomes a platform that links designers and makers, students and teachers, experts and individuals eager to learn from all over the world, generating a unique network of research and education. Reshape is organized by Noumena with several international partners like the IaaC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia), Fab Lab Barcelona, Archello and many others. We believe in a new distributed chain of production based on a digitally connected community.

Reshape organizes each year a design competition that selects the best designers in the world of digital fabrication. The topics of the competition are always intentionally opened to stimulate the imagination and creativity of participants. Reshape leaves to designers freedom and responsibility of their own choices. Nonetheless, all submissions reflect the mission of Reshape: merging ideas with fabrication processes and market viabilities. The winners enter our community in order to be involved in all the activities of Reshape, from international exhibitions to workshops and lectures. Each year a high profile multidisciplinary jury is selected from the various field of digital fabrication, computational design, information and culture as well as architectural critics, ensuring an evaluation not limited to a single perspective. The first round of RESHAPE design competition in 2014 was focused on digital fabrication more generally whereas/although the contest in 2015 was specialized in the topic of wearable technology.

Reshape participates with its community to the most exciting events in the world. From Fab10, to Biennale in Venice, FuoriSalone and MakerFaire in Rome our makers and designers have always a big spot to showcase their new ideas and productions. WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION
In 2016 Reshape is upgrading and becoming an incubator for selected innovative projects in the field of digital fabrication. The 5 winning proposals will follow an incubation 6 months program including a coworking and makerspace membership, access to mentors, experts, design communities and workshops in order to develop and scale their design. Reshape aims to envision the future of digital fabrication and the role of fablabs and makerspace as a new place of production. The incubation program is divided into 2 periods of 3 months with intermediate submissions, follow-up session and a final public presentations with sponsors and industrial partners. The first period runs in Paris from October to December 2016 at VOLUMES coworking. The second period runs in Barcelona at ATTA 33 coworking from January until March 2017 under the coordination of NOUMENA (design and research firm). Space for your ideas”
Atta33 is a collaborative workspace with digital and traditional fabrication tools, classes, events, and consulting services. Based in the heart of the @22 district of Barcelona, named the European Capital for Innovation by the European Commission in 2014, Atta33 was established as a hive of knowledge incubation, where small contributions result in a collaborative space for production and research that, like an ant colony, grows and develops together. Launched in the fall of 2015, Atta33 was born as a service of advice and design consultancy and strongly believes that collaboration is what generates amazing results, leading to the creation of a new ideology of work where transdisciplinary designers and innovators have the opportunity to contribute to the formulation of increasingly diverse and innovative goals. Atta33´s cutting edge digital fabrication laboratory is fitted with the most advanced machines as well as traditional fabrication tools. In total, the spaces´ 400m2 floor space provides a variety of adaptable working environments to host the development, realization and production of ideas and projects. Currently, Atta33 fosters between approximately 20 coworkers within its thriving colony and has consistantly pushed itself to the forefront of innovation and research through the variety of projects developed, from toy design to guitar customization to fashion. The flexibility of the space further encourages different scales of activities, from large event hostings to workshops on design, digital fabrication, and start-up innovations, with the intention of bringing together innovative and visionary people and to support the development of new businesses and ideas. Since its conception, Atta33 has continuously seen progressive growth and continues to innovate and develop within its community of creative freelancers, designers and entrepreneurs. Atta33´s mission is to foster personal fulfillment, innovation, and economic development enabled by Atta33´s digital design and fabrication technologies and services. At Atta33, we believe in the power of community characterized by teamwork, where we support each other to become successful in conjunction, hard work, because we are passionate about bringing to life every and any idea no matter the challenge, and providing a friendly platform to meet with creative people to exchange ideas or support the development of new projects.

V OLUM ES co wo r ki ng ma k e r space f o o dl ab VOLUMES is coworking and makerspace based in Paris run by a community of transdisciplinar designers and innovators. Launched in 2015, VOLUMES hosts events, companies and projects investigating the fields of collaborative economy, smart cities, computational design, digital manufacturing and food design. In 2015, the space hosted freelancers, international associations, companies and start-ups such as Ouishare (collaborative economy), Stample (collaborative knowledge), Civicwise (collaborative urbanism), Noumena (computational design, research and architecture), La Ruche Qui Dit Oui (Local Food Platform), Open Source Democracy.

VOLUMES has been the organizer of Future Architecture Night in May 2015 and it has been part of the official program of Paris Design Week 2015. It is the first Parisian makerspace to run the FAB ACADEMY, the official MIT training program for makers and fablabs.VOLUMES is also one of the official partner of Wikibuilding, one of the selected project the for architecture competition Reinventer Paris. In 2015 VOLUMES launched with École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées the program DESIGN by DATA, the first Advanced Master in Computational Design, Advanced Manufacturing and Building Technologies, directed by Francesco Cingolani co-founder of VOLUMES. During its 1st year of activity, VOLUMES hosted more than 100 events about design, digital fabrication, start-ups innovation and collaborative economy gathering over 5000 visitors coming from all over Europe. In 2016, between 20 and 50 creative freelancer, designers and entrepreneurs use VOLUMES everyday as a working and innovation platform to develop and scale their projects. The ambition of the communities engaged at VOLUMES is to establish one of the most innovative hotspot in Europe in the fields of computational design, smart city and digital manufacturing. At VOLUMES, we believe in computational tools and transdisciplinar design approach to re-think the future of work and build a more sustainable world while promoting a new lifestyle and culture.
