Who are you?

I work for LBTS Media Company. I am creating a mini educational film to demonstrate different camera movement, shots and angles.

The big idea in 25 words or less

It’s a day in the life of a student who’s always late to school and therefore has to face some consequences.

How will you include-­‐ shot reverse shot/180 degree rule/rule of thirds?

180-­‐degree rule is there to insure that the audience does not become confused and always understands the point of view from which it is watched from. Therefore the camera must never cross the imaginary 180-­‐degree invisible line that crosses the filming area.

Rule of thirds divides a scene into nine boxes and I need to make sure that my subject is touching one of the 4 crosses that overlap.

Where will you film? Who will you cast? What props, costumes etc. will you need?

My cast will include a student from my media class but also some other students within my sixth form. The most important prop I will need is my camera equipment. I will also need a bike for my film as in some scenes a bike is needed. Costumes will not be needed.

I will film the outside of the school building but also from the inside.

The areas I will film in from the inside will be the staircase and then a classroom. I will also film in the local area outside in the high street.

When will you film?

I will start filming my video from next week on Wednesday 10th. I expect to finish my film in about 3 lessons as this should be enough because the film I am making doesn’t need me to go far from the local and my positioning aren’t difficult to set up in. However I will then need to spend some time on editing and effects which may lead up to another 3 lessons.
