the venue MARRIOTT - CITY CENTER Darshana and Rushi will wed at the Raleigh Marriott City Center, which has five wedding reception venues that combine for 15,000 square feet of total event space. Their wedding guests can take advantage of the hotel’s convenient location in downtown Raleigh.

color palette The color palette for the wedding of Darshana and Rushi consists of whites, golds, and hints of blush pink.


the cocktail hour TO A DO R N T H E COC K TA I L TA B L E S I N T H E F O Y E R area, we will use the white linen provided by the hotel as well as three votive candles per table as a simple centerpiece.


ceremony staging F R E S H A F FA I R S W I L L C R E AT E A 1 0 X 1 0 MANDAP STRUCTURE NESTLED ON A 16x16 state, complete with a custom gold emblem and stunning white draping. The reception florals will be used to enhance the stage presentation and white rose petals will line each side of the ceremony aisle. The aisle will be roped off and white fabric aisle runner will be provided. The entire back wall behind mandap will be elegantly draped in white fabric. It will be as high as allowed to go according to Egress policy. The stage will be adorned with traditional ivory and gold bride and groom chairs, 4 Setties, 2 Bajots, 2 Patlas, and 1 Havan Kund. White cushions will be provided. In addition, there will be four gold chivari chairs placed on stage (two on each side) for attendants. The stage will be illuminated using uplighting and spotlighting.




the luncheon UPON CLIENT REQUEST, THE HYDRANGEA UNITS FOR THE RECEPTION WILL BE RE-PURPOSED during the luncheon with votive candles to create minimal centerpieces. The white linen from the Marriott and the gray banquet chairs (uncovered) will be used as seating. The luncheon will take place in one small portion of the main ballroom and overflow into the additional room across the hallway.


the wedding reception T H E S W E E T H E A R T TA B L E F O R T H E B R I D E & G R OO M WILL BE ADORNED WITH FLOWERS & CANDLES. This will flow over to the head tables. 8 of the guest tables will have tall and more-than-impressive arrangements in wedding colors elevated on clear glassware, accented with units of flowers and candles on tabletop. No green will be present. Instead, Fresh Affairs will use elements of gold. 8 guest tables will feature medium versions of the centerpieces described above.

Flowers to be roses in shades of pink & white. Each guest place setting will feature gold charger plates and a white napkin, folded. ***Menu or thank you card optional.



reception lighting & flooring USING THE WOODEN DANCE FLOOR PROVIDED BY THE VENUE, WE WILL DISPLAY A LIGHT gobo using a custom design picked by the couple. To create a soft and stunning atmosphere, we will use blush colored uplighting to wash the walls and draping. The centerpieces will be illuminated using pinspots for an added wow factor. The mandap will also be lit along with spotlighting for the entrances and performances.


the wedding cake THE WEDDING CAKE WILL CONSIST OF 5”, 7”, 9” AND 11” ROUNDS – ALL FROSTED in white buttercream with separator tiers between the 5” & 7” tiers, as well as the 9” & 11” tiers. Puffed-out fresh flowers provided by Fresh Affairs will fill spaces. The 7” and 11” tiers will have a diamond pattern with gold dragees where the diamond tips meet. The 5” and 9” tiers will have a gold cake lace pattern and Fresh flowers as the cake topper. Flowers to be roses in shades of pink & white. The cake will be elevated on a gold cake board; gold cake plateau.


signage & details TO BRING OUT THE GOLD, WE WILL USE GOLD F O I L TA B L E N U M B E R S F O R 3 2 G U E S T TA B L E S . The table number would be nestled into each centerpiece. Using a custom template, we will create and post a custom gold and white seating chart which will feature names in alphabetical order. We will mount this using an easel. A wedding welcome sign would be placed at the entrance of the ballroom. The font would be in a gold nugget color.
