Towards Innovative, Liveable and Prosperous Asian Megacities (CISASIA)
The project was set out to review the national, sectoral and regional innovation systems of six Southeast Asian countries. This review provided the background for the development of a new conceptual framework known as “City innovation system” (CIS) for conducting a comparative analysis of the innovative capacities in six megacities, namely Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to identify the drivers of creativity and innovation, as well as the specific strengths and weaknesses of each city’s innovation system.
