Editorial

I have been collecting coins and stamps since my childhood due to my personal and professional extensive national and international travels, and my family and friends living all over the world.

Coins and stamps are tiny windows through which we can see and learn about the many countries, history, culture, resources, and moreover, the people and their achievements and contributions to humanity and the country and world we live in.

My interest is to promote numismatism in the State of Florida, in the USA and why not, in the entire world where this newly born newsletter may reach.

I have a special interest in promoting Young Numismatists activities so children and teens can learn from this wealth of knowledge for their future.

I encourage you to share it with your friends, family, and other coin collectors.

I invite all Coin Clubs in Florida to contact me so I can help by promoting your shows so other numismatists can visit them while in town, or passing by the cities or counties where the events take place. The more the merrier! I may even stop by as I am in contact with the 67 counties in Florida!

Young Collectors Activities In South Florida

It was great to know about the experiences of the Gold Coast Coin Club and the Fort Lauderdale Coin Club with the Young Collectors activities at a school in Hollywood.

Coins in Florida congratulates: Joe Zelinski, Herb Clauson, Harry Schwartz and Marti Tobias for all the work and enthusiasm they share with the children at the schools in the Young Collectors program.

Young Collectors started in 2012. They have delivered presentations to Elementary Schools since 2014, and participate in Career Day talks about coins.

Make sure to visit the Young Collectors Tables of the Gold Coast Club Show and at the Fort Lauderdale Coin Show.

We encourage all numismatists to donate items to the young collector tables.

The Club Youth Membership is only $2 at each Fort Lauderdale and Gold Coast Coin Club. Join the clubs!

Florida Numismatists Visited The Atlanta Coin Show

Joe Zelinski, the President of the Gold Coast Coin Club and Member of the Board of Directors (2023-2025) of Florida United Numismatists FUN shared his experience when he attended the Georgia State Coin Show in Dalton, a couple weeks ago.

Other members of the Fort Lauderdale Coin Club and the Gold Coast Coin Club also attended the show.
