WORTH THE WAIT “We were originally supposed to get married Saturday March 21, 2020,” shares Jordan, “but unfortunately had to cancel on that Monday, March 16, 2020 due to the state shutting down for a COVID lockdown.” Jordan and Tyler were devastated that their wedding couldn’t happen as planned, but since they had no other options, they chose to reschedule for later in 2020. “We reached out to all vendors and moved it to October 23, 2020,” says Jordan, noting that the new date was her parents’ wedding anniversary. “In July of 2020 we were advised to move the date again if we wanted to have the wedding we originally planned, so we then decided to move it to June 4th, 2021,” says Jordan. “Thankfully after a 30 month engagement we were able to finally tie the knot on June 4th, 2021 with the original wedding we planned with all vendors in attendance. Therefore we had the hashtag #ThirdTimesTheCharm after 3 wedding dates we finally did it and it was worth the wait!”

THEIR STORY “We met on Tinder in Dallas,” shares Laura. Their first date and first time meeting was March 3, 2017 at Top Golf. “I definitely asked to see some ID because he looked SO young.” A few years would go by before Armias proposed while they were on vacation in Bali. “I couldn’t have been more surprised,” says Laura. “When I tell the story, he was definitely crying, but when he tells it, he was just ‘choked up’. DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS “I designed most of the details by myself, with input from my hubby of course,” says Laura. From the vision for the event to fine details like the wedding invitation design and the custom Second Line parasols, Laura’s exquisite sense of style shines through. “I realized I needed help with execution pretty quickly,” says Laura. As the date grew closer, she found having a wedding planner indispensable. “Becca swooped in and saved THEE DAY!” exclaims Laura. “We had to change a few vendors with really short notice, so [we] were so thankful the day went off without a hitch!”
CHANGE OF PLANS “We initially planned a slowly increasing 150 person wedding at my dad’s warehouse,” shares Laura. However between the pandemic and Laura’s father falling ill, the big wedding plan changed to an intimate micro wedding with just 20 guests. “The hunt for a venue was on,” says Laura, “and when I found Margaret Place late one night, I reached out and booked SO FAST it’s not even funny.” “The aesthetic was exactly what I was looking for - intimate, romantic, vintage, moody, chandeliers!!!, and brick walls.”

JESSICA + BRENNAN’S STORY “Brennan and I met through mutual friends and hit it off almost instantly. Although I was hesitant to dive into anything serious, after a year or so of courting, we took the plunge and never looked back. Brennan and I have our fair share of creative hobbies, anything from drawing to special effects makeup, cosplay, or even character design for Dungeons and Dragons. Halloween is a holiday we both love, so it was an easy decision to have a romantic and spooky engagement photo shoot. The makeup was fun and challenging, since I mostly only have experience doing my own makeup. We both had a great time watching our ideas really come to life. We now have these really beautiful and unique photos to look back on, marking such an important time in our journey!” -Jessica

THEIR STORY “We met through mutual friends in college and started out as friends,” says Emily. “Our first time hanging out together was going to see the Broadway musical Book of Mormon. We quickly became best friends, eating every meal together, hugging for unusually long amounts of time, listening to musicals together, and sending each other long, heartfelt good night messages every night. Looking back, we fell in love without even knowing it.” “We had a very dramatic start to our dating relationship,” shares Emily. Emily went on a trip and the two realized that they both had feelings for each other beyond friendship. “We wrote each other letters for every day Emily would be gone, as she would not be able to use her phone,” they share. “When she came back, we could not keep our feelings in anymore.” Two years later Emily proposed on stage after the last song of Rachel’s acapella concert. TaShara Collins & Shontez Monigan WEDDING DATE: 9-3-2021 “Our story began in the San Antonio International airport with a simple “hello” on a hot August day in 2018. 28 months, 33 airports, and great patience later, we found ourselves in the Dallas Love Field airport engaged, right before Christmas. Shontez is a retired Marine and St. Louis native. TaShara is a former Air Force office and native to New Orleans.” TaShara and Shontez originally planned to marry in New Orleans, but Hurricane Ida made landfall just six days before their wedding and the couple moved their nuptials to East Texas.

After dating for almost 7 years (I know, a long time!!) he finally proposed on New Years Eve in New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up I knew whoever I married would need to support me with my love for animals. Not only does Hunter support me but he shares the same love but maybe not as strong as mine. Over the years we have gotten 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 horse. I’m so lucky to have found my forever so soon and be able to share the challenging, sad, and happy memories. Raeon Williams & Jerry White WEDDING DATE: 1-8-2022 Raeon and Jerry started dating in 2015. Their engagement was a surprise. Raeon thought she was having a bowling birthday party, and to her surprise Jerry had all of their friends and family at the bowling alley for the shock of her life.
