SHIRT DESIGN PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For this class assignment, we had to create an original t-shirt design that was limited to 2 colors (3 including the t-shirt color). The requirements were that we had to create one in black and white, include SkillsUSA and NPTC, and include something about graphic design in a creative way. I decided it would be best to put these words in the clouds of the design. Picture: The final mock up of the design.
NPC Christmas Card PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This was a side activity that was to design a Christmas Card for National Park College. I decided to draw a snowman sitting in the snow with a house in the background. Picture: a Christmas card
low poly PROJECT DESCRTIPTION
This was an assignment where we had to choose a picture of an animal, and then trace over the picture by making small triangles with the pen tool in Illustrator. I picked a cockatiel because of their variety in color. After I finished tracing the image of the cockatiel, I decided to pen tool a sunflower as a finishing touch. Picture: The picture I used to trace over.
Mutant animal PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This assignment was to find a way to fuse 4 different animals in Photoshop, and to find a background to put the fused animal on. I combined a jaguar, hyena, groundhog, and an ox. I gave the creature ox horns and legs, a hyena’s body and ears, a jaguar head, and a groundhog tail. Picture: a fused animal
Halloween label PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This was a Halloween activity where we had to design a label for the candy bags that SkillsUSA members were selling for a fundraiser. I designed a character dressed as a witch trick-or-treating with their cat. Picture: a Halloween label
Candy cane card PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This was just a small Christmas activity where we had to design a card based around a candy cane. After we designed the card, we would find a way to place the candy cane into it. I thought it would be creative to design characters playing on the candy cane. Picture: A Christmas Card
Warhol poster PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This assignment was to first design a bust photo of a person in the Warhol style, and then make it into a poster as if it was advertising his work in a museum. The bust photo I chose was a picture of Arin Hanson, a youtuber. For the poster, I made about 11 copies of the Warhol-style photo and placed them in a strategical order along the document. Picture: Warhol version of Arin Hanson.
elements of design PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This was an assignment where we had to go out and take pictures that embodied the Elements of Design, Space, Form, Color, Value, Line, Shape, and Texture, and then design them into a creative poster. I made a colorful poster that included these pictures within shapes. Picture: Elements of Design poster
enamel pins PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This assignment was to design an enamel pin for my graphic design class. We had to find a creative way to include the words Graphic Design 2018 in a creative way. I decided to make two hands forming a heart, circling 2018, while putting Graphic above the hands and Design below. Picture: Enamel pins
Personal logo PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For this project, we had to design a logo that represented ourselves. I decided to make a logo that was colorful, yet not too bright and depicts a picture of an annoyed cat. We were tasked with creating different variations of this logo. I made 4 different variations of this logo. After that, we had to make a style guide and brand our logo onto different merchandise. Picture: Logo process.
