INNOVATIVE MATERIALS
Innovative materials in products refer to the use of alternative, more sustainable resources such as sugar cane, corn plastic, crush paper, felt, cork and stone, instead of using traditional materials such as plastic or paper. Our Americano collection, for example, is made from sugar cane plastic. Discover two new additions to our notebook collection: Viviana and Liliana. The Viviana notebook is made from recycled felt and cork. The Liliana notebook is made from sugar cane and features a natural look with a nice pop of colour.
MADE FROM SUGAR CANE
This renewable source absorbs carbon dioxide whilst growing and is a by-product of the sugar industry. The use of sugar cane means less oil is used in the manufacture of each Americano.

UNDYED
These products are made from ‘Undyed’ fabric. No dyes, water or chemicals are needed in this innovative process, which means it has less negative impact on our planet. Starting with textile waste from manufacturers and traders, the colour of the waste dictates the final hue. After manual sorting and quality checks, the waste is recycled into cotton fiber without chemicals. Blended with other recycled fibers, like polyester, viscose, acrylic, EcoVera™, or Tencel™, the resulting yarn is strong and high-quality. Through careful processing, the material is formed and spun into the final, more sustainable coloured yarn.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
The objective of GRS is to trace, through a chain of custody, recycled materials in products, ensuring transparency and credibility in sustainability claims. GRS certified products are made from verified recycled materials, with a traceable supply chain from the original source. To be GRS certified a product must contain at least 50% recycled materials. Chain of Custody The chain of custody system ensures every stage of production (including branding) is documented and audited for transparency. Third-party certifiers verify the chain of custody every year, confirming that recycled materials are properly tracked. The end-user can have confidence in the authenticity of GRS labeled products.

Recycled Claim Standard (RCS)
RCS certified products are made from verified recycled materials, with a traceable supply chain from the original source. To be RCS certified a product must contain at least 5% recycled materials. The chain of custody system ensures every stage of production (excluding branding) is documented and audited for transparency. Third-party certifiers verify the chain of custody every year, confirming that recycled materials are properly tracked. The end-user can have confidence in the authenticity of RCS labeled products.
