SET SYSTEM Design Pinuccio Borgonovo
Set System oltre a venire incontro, in maniera straordinariamente flessibile, ad ogni esigenza d’interpretazione personale degli spazi attraverso un numero davvero illimitato di soluzioni compositive a spalla orizzontale, sa dotarsi anche di pregi funzionali ed estetici rilevanti. Come la scala scorrevole, imprescindibile aiuto nel raggiungere gli scaffali più alti oppure gli schienali a specchio che danno nuova luce all’intera composizione, qui bifacciale. Ma, soprattutto Set System “fa casa” perché ne delinea la personalità oltre a trasmettere calore e ricordi ospitando tutti gli oggetti a noi più cari. Che sia un vaso o un libro, una fotografia o una lampada, Set System non lascia davvero nulla al caso. Set System, beside satisfying in an extraordinarily flexible way every need of personal interpretation of spaces through an unlimited number of compositions, is also endowed with relevant functional and aesthetic values. As the sliding stair, an essential help to reach high shelves or the mirror back panels which give a new light to the entire composition, here double faced. But, above all, Set System “furnishes our home” because it defines the personality and conveys warmth and memories, housing all the objects which are dear to us. It can be a vase, a book, a photograph or a lamp: Set System emphasizes everything.

FIX
Design Pinuccio Borgonovo
Il tavolo Fix è ormai un’icona della produzione Former come del mondo dell’arredamento in senso lato. Adesso si arricchisce di una nuova, prestigiosa finitura per le proprie gambe sempre disposte in maniera tale da creare stupore e meraviglia. Il marmo. Nella fattispecie marmo bianco carrara che genera all’occhio ed alla mente un’idea di solidità esteticamente originale.
Fix table is by now an icon of both Former’s production and furniture world broadly speaking. Now it is enriched by a new, prestigious finishing for its legs, as always disposed in a peculiar way to create astonishment and surprise. Marble. In this case, Carrara White Marble which creates an original idea of firmness to eye and mind.

KEEL
Design Claesson Koivisto Rune.
Il design dei tavoli e consolle Keel è caratterizzata anzitutto dalle loro gambe di legno. A prima vista esse appaiono generosamente proporzionate: un effetto accentuato dal contrasto con il sottile piano del tavolo. Tuttavia guardandole da un altro angolo, le gambe cambiano caratteristica, apparendo più snelle. Un’analisi più approfondita rivela la loro forma arrotondata e rastremata. L’ispirazione di questo dettaglio insieme all’inusuale proporzione delle gambe deriva dalla nostra ammirazione per il design nautico, ed in particolare per le barche a vela in legno. L’estetica aerodinamica, riducendo le cose alla loro essenzialità, ci ha sempre affascinato, e sebbene non facile da raggiungere, riteniamo che “Keel” si potesse realizzare grazie alle capacità tecniche di Former.
The design of the Keel tables is signified, first and foremost, by their wooden legs. At first, the legs appear generously proportioned – an effect accentuated by the contrasting, thin tabletop. However, approaching from another angle, the table legs change character, appearing more slender. On closer inspection, the legs’ carefully rounded and tapered shape reveals itself. The inspiration for this detailing, together with the legs’ unusual proportions, comes from our admiration for nautical design and, perhaps particularly, wooden sailing boats. This streamlined aesthetic, reducing things to their essentials, has always appealed to us and, although not easy to achieve, we felt that Keel could be realized with the technical expertise of Former.

Design Pinuccio Borgonovo
La sedia Blow, giĂ sinuosa ed avvolgente in origine, si rende ancor piĂš comoda grazie alla morbidezza dei suoi nuovi rivestimenti, cotone sfoderabile ed ecopelle. Unitamente al proprio tratto di design curvilineo essa sa fornire, in questo modo, una seduta assolutamente godibile e priva di noiosi spigoli.
Blow chair, already sinuous and winding, is even more comfortable thanks to the softness of its new coatings, removable cotton and eco-leather. Together with its curvilinear design line, Blow chair can provide a very enjoyable sit with no annoying corners.

MISS
Design Pinuccio Borgonovo
Dopo le basi, le madie di diverse fogge e misure e le credenze ad ante scorrevoli, il progetto Miss s’integra di una consolle inedita dove, naturalmente, il vetro è sempre motivo conduttore. La struttura in cristallo extra-light temperato, infatti, si coniuga con un piano laccato bianco del medesimo materiale a creare un sorprendente effetto sospensione.
After bases, sideboards of different shapes and sizes and sliding door sideboards, the Miss project is enriched with an inedited console, with glass being always the leit-motif. The structure in tempered extra-light crystal is perfectly combined with a white laquered top of the same material and this creates an amazing effect.

LINE

Line, ad una prima lettura formale, è fatta di contenitori attrezzati, sospesi mediante lamine in metallo lucido, caratterizzati da una spiccata polifunzionalità. Infatti, all’interno della sua struttura divisa in più vani possono essere inseriti, singolarmente od accoppiati, cassetti in alluminio con fondo in cristallo acidato o completamente in legno, entrambi estraibili nella loro totalità grazie a guida a scomparsa di tecnologia avanzata.Andando più in profondità, Line si manifesta come un oggetto di assoluto pregio sia dal punto di vista del design sia da quello delle finiture. L’originale canalizzazione ad emanare un fascio di luce bianca fluorescente ne costituisce, inoltre, vezzo originale ed accattivante. On a first formal reading, the LINE sideboard, leaning on feet in glossy metal, is made up of equipped storage units having a sharp poly-functionality. Inside the structure divided in several containers, both full extension aluminium drawers with etched crystal glass bottom or wooden drawers, singly or matched, can be found.Going deeper, Line shows itself as an object of great value, both from the point of view of design and from that one of finishes. The original feature of radiating a beam of flourishing white light is an original and captivating quality.

Un letto si caratterizza grazie a diverse qualità. Il design, innanzitutto, che ne da forma, quindi i materiali strutturali e le finiture che ne offrono sostanza. Un letto, tuttavia e per sua specifica natura, tanto si definisce anche per mezzo della propria testata. Big 10 è esattamente la sintesi dell’originale letto con contenitore già presente nella collezione Former e di un’inedita testata imbottita sfoderabile che conferisce all’intero oggetto quella morbidezza riscontrabile non solo al tatto ma anche alla vista.
A bed is characterised by different qualities. The design, above all, which gives it the shape, then the materials and the finishes which give it the substance. A bed is usually defined by its own headboard. Big 10 is exactly the summary of the original bed with the storage unit, already in Former night collection, and a brand new fabric headboard with removable cover, which gives the entire bed a sensation of softness, both to the touch and to the sight.

Set System è sistema per la casa a 360°. Infatti esso trova degna collocazione e risolve situazioni in ogni angolo della stessa. Quale esempio migliore di questa elegante toilette per la zona notte ? Essa non fa altro che sfruttare appieno le potenzialità di Set System non solo in ottica progettuale ma anche in quella più prettamente estetica, utilizzandolo laddove il riposo e la riservatezza sono beni assoluti.
Set System is a versatile home system. In fact it is easily placed and solves any situation in every corner of the house. What can be better than this example of elegant toilet table? It makes the most of the Set System, not only in the planning aspect but also in the aesthetic one, using it where the rest and the privacy reign.

Dossier, programma di armadiature per eccellenza di Former, si apre a materiali inediti, o quanto meno poco usati, per ciò che fa arredamento. La ceramica di queste sue ante scorrevoli, lavorata in maniera assolutamente originale, delinea invero un armadio assai importante non solo per la sua funzione precipua, il contenimento interno, ma anche per l’estrema gradevolezza del suo aspetto esteriore.
Dossier wardrobe programme is ready for new, unusual materials as far as furniture is concerned. The ceramic of its sliding doors, which is processed in an absolutely original way, delineates a wardrobe which is important not only for its main function, internal containment, but also for the absolute pleasantness of its external look.
