NSA ARCHITECTS
Through the last five years in independent practice and six years before that as an associate with Kapadia Associates. We have been driven by the pursuit of design excellence. We build buildings keeping in mind the human scale. We build a setting which forms a backdrop for the drama of life to play itself out. In a world which is seen at crossroads of an environmental crisis we believe that social, economic and environmentaL sustainability should be the basis of any architectural endeavor. We see the issue of sustainability as an opportunity to harness appropriate technology to make our buildings more energy efficient. At NSA, we believe in pushing the boundaries of design in the way buildings are built and the way they perform. Our designs are validated by appropriate research and development we use latest technologies to help our clients visualize and evaluate the design at all stages of the work process. We are strong believers in the sprit of teamwork. We believe that no structure can be successfully built or made to perform unless and until there is a collaborative spirit within the various disciplines which come together during the process of execution of the project. Our workflow system is strongly based in 3dimensional tools which allow clients consultant, and stakeholders to appropriately understand and contribute to the emerging design.

we have also tried to make use of the climatological data to see to it that the house receives as much natural ventilation as possible thus reducing dependence on more resource intensive energy sources. Also the architects have proposed use of solar panels to develop alternative sources of power as load shedding is very frequent in these areas.
ARCHITECTURE
This is a clients weekend home in the scenic konkan region. They wanted a home in there native place , on a plot of ancestral land. The design is sensitive to clients culture and has provided for a tulsi vrindavan in the central court. The house is compliant with standard vaastu norms and designed along the lines of the vastu purush mandala.

STAFF RESIDENTIAL QUARTERS FOR GUJARAT GLASS, KOSMABA, GUJARAT
BUILT UP AREA: 20,000 SQ.FT STATUS : UNBUILT Gujarat Glass has a manufacturing facility in Kosamba. As the plant capacities have been increasing due to growth in demand, it has necessitated the presence of substantial number of executive staff on plant site. This necessitated the need for a integrated staff residential facility with the factory complex.
The apartment specification were optimum without being extremely luxurious, thus achieving a balance of a cost effective but comfortable residential space.

The building was designed around a community space to give the residents a sense of home away from home. This was facilitated by informal interactive spaces within and around the building.

DIAGNOSTIC CENTER AT GULBARGA FACT FILE: FUNCTION: DIAGNOSTIC CENTER Client : Dr. Chetan Durgi.
ESTIMATED COMPLETION: MAR 2013 Construction cost : INR 60 Million The site for this project is situated in the heart of Gulbarga City, A well know area called Thimmapur Circle. The city is on the verge of explosive development in the wake of government reforms . The clientele here has become more discerning and want to have quality medical care at there door step. This is the Raison’d’etre of the client behind this project. The client is a well known radiologist and also has substantial clout in the social and political circles here. He wants to set up one of the biggest MRI center in the city via this project. Since the area is still developing , the clients wants to get a first mover advantage by establishing a diagnostic center facility with a powerful MRI machine. Also ,it caters to a lot of rural clientele. In fact as of now the rural clientele accounts for substantial revenue of the current facility . The current facility has grown organically and does not allow for efficient usage of existing space and hence the new facility. With these requirements in mind the architects set out to design a facility which would appeal to the rural as well as the urban clientele. This in itself was quite a challenge and required specific study of usage pattern of both kind of clients .. These and other challenges formed a great design experience for us and perfectly functional and aesthetically good looking facility for the clients.

DIAGNOSTIC CENTER CUM RESIDENCE AT BIDAR phase 2 FACT FILE: FUNCTION: DIAGNOSTIC CENTER CUM RESIDENCE
ESTIMATED COMPLETION: MAR 2013 CONSTRUCTION COST: INR 45 MILLION The site for this project is situated in a future hi end residential zone . Since the area is still developing , the clients wants to get a first mover advantage by establishing a diagnostic center facility. Also , Bidar being a small town, caters to a lot of rural clientele. In fact as of now the rural clientele accounts for substantial revenue of the current piece meal facility . The current facility has grown organically and does not allow for efficient usage of existing space and hence the new facility. With these requirements in mind the architects set out to design a facility which would appeal to the rural as well as the urban clientele. This in itself was quite a challenge and required specific study of usage pattern of both kind of clients . The other challenge was that of design of the residence on top of the facility and making sure that the clients patients would not be able to disturb the clients privacy whilst he was spending time with his family. These and other challenges formed a great design experience for us and perfectly functional and aesthetically good looking facility for the clients.

DIAGNOSTIC CENTER CUM RESIDENCE AT BIDAR
VILLA AT GURUNANAK JHIRA, BIDAR FACT FILE: FUNCTION: RESIDENCE ( VILLA ) Client : Dr. Anand Jabshetty BUILT UP AREA: 10,000SQ.FT STATUS : under construction ESTIMATED COMPLETION: DEC 2013. The Client is a well known orthopaedic surgeon with a flourishing practise in the city. The family is political well connected and gets a lot of visitors ranging from party workers to VIP’s . Thus the house needed to have a distinct look so as to have create presence in the street and also in the minds of the people who visit the house. Also the site for the villa is situated on a cliff at the end of the township. The Edge of the cliff extended to the North and West faces of the site. Therefore it has sweeping views on both these sides. So whilst the house has a distinctly public face it also needed to respond to the views that the location offered. Lastly the clients needed the house to fully compliant with principles of Vastu Principles. At times the rules of these principles were directly in conflict with general planning norms. Out of these challenges came out a design which truly reflects the clients vision.

Our team of consultants many of whom are senior to us and highly respected in there fields for their invaluable advise.
