Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Stand Down All U.S. military personnel are required to attend one SAPR stand down training session

by July 1. NSA Naples is holding training at the dates and times listed below. Seating priority will be given to NSA military, however all are encouraged to attend. Maximum session size is 50 personnel, please plan accordingly and arrive early to ensure attendance.

Customers should place their bulk LPG order and provide a correct home address to the NEX Residential Office 48 hours prior to requested delivery date. Customers must be home during the time of the delivery. Deliveries will be made from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. No deliveries on Sunday or Italian holidays. Bulk LPG may be purchased year-round at NEX Customer Service. NEX Residential Office hours of operation are 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Bulk LPG coupons must only be utilized at authorized concessionaires who make deliveries thru the NEX residential Office. Misuse, abuse or bartering of LPG coupons or any tax-free gas coupon is a violation of Italian fiscal law and violators are subject to disciplinary and or administrative actions which include the suspension of their privileges and the payment of taxes to the Italian government. All Dependent Children Over 10 Must Have ID Card for AMC Travel Due to recent confusion in CONUS regarding dependent children traveling on AMC flights, PSD is issuing a reminder to all military personnel. All individuals over 10 must have their dependent identification card in their possession as per AMC instruction for AMC flights. Please plan accordingly, and contact Lt.Cmdr. Hoffman at 626-5787 for further information.

Place Special Commissary Orders for July 4 Now The Commissary is now accepting special orders for large quantities of meat products for July 4. As many cookouts, barbecues and parties are anticipated in the area, plan ahead and contact them early at 081-811-4871 or DSN: 629-4871.

Gold Star Families Designated Parking Spaces Now Available Surviving families of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines are known as Gold Star Families (GSF). Four designated parking space for GSF will be available in Gricignano at the Fleet and Family Service Center, Village Forum, the Naples Commissary, the Navy Exchange, and the US Navy Hospital. One designated parking space for GSF will be available on the ground floor of the East Parking garage at Capo.

June 29: Festa Americana (Fourth of July Event) at Carney Park NSA Naples will hold its annual Fourth of July event at Carney Park on Saturday, June 29. Festa Americana will include a high-wire act, fireworks display, food booths, craft tables and more. All community members with park access are invited, and may sponsor up to six guests. MWR is currently looking for base-recognized, private organizations to sell items at food booths and craft tables. Volunteers are also needed to help run the event.

Eligible patrons may sponsor up to 6 guests per ID card into the event. Guest access passes will be available for purchase until Friday, June 28. Bus transportation is available for Festa to alleviate high traffic; registration deadline is Wednesday, June 26. Following registration expiration, patrons may still ride on a space available basis. Individuals staying in TLA can show their room key or "priority bus pass" at the ITT offices and register to ride the buses for free. Guest access passes and bus passes are available for purchase online at http://www.mwritt.org and can be picked up at both ITT Offices, the Liberty Center, the Support Site NOR Center and Carney Park NOR Center (for those with access to Carney Park), and the Auto Wood Skills Center. June 29: All American Apple Pie Contest at Festa Americana Entries are needed for Festa Americana's All American Apple Pie Contest at Carney Park.

All entries will need to be brought to the small stage area by 3:15 p.m. in order to be eligible. Judging will begin at 3:45 p.m. and all entries will be judged on appearance and taste. A trophy will be awarded to best entry. For more information, contact Carney Park at 081-526-1579 July 1: New Hard Card Security Badges Implemented Beginning Monday, July 1, new hard card passes will be issued by base security to single-day sponsored guests aboard Capo and the Support Site. Sponsors and guests will apply for installation access and receive a temporary paper pass. Upon proceeding to installation entry points, sponsors and visitors will be issued numbered hard cards, to be worn as badges. To receive the hard card, guest photo identification will be required and retained by security for the duration of the sponsored visit. July 2-3: Passport Services at USNH Naples Unavailable Passport Services will not be available at Naval Hospital Naples on Tuesday, July 2 and Wednesday, July 3. Services will resume Tuesday, July 9.

July 3: Coffee Talk with Connect the Tots Connect the Tots is holding a coffee talk for families with young children on Wednesday, July 3 at the NEX Food Court Coffee shop. The event starts at 10:00am and is open to all U.S. and NATO ID cardholders. Parents and children are encouraged to wear red, white and blue in celebration of the 4th. July 4-5: Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Closure Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Naples Office will be closed July 4 and 5.

July 4-7: Scheduled Closures for July 4 Weekend In observance of the 4th of July Holiday Weekend and the Italian Rest Day on 5 July, the following offices will be closed from 4-7 July: All Post Offices, the Personal Property Office, the Vehicle Processing Office, and the Motor Vehicle Registration Offices. All offices will re-open for normal business on Monday, 8 July.

July 17: July Birthday Party with Connect the Tots Community members are invited to the Wonderful Watermelon Shindig July Birthday Party celebration at the fenced toddler park adjacent to the skate park on Wednesday, July 17th. The class is offered by Navy Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) visiting nurses and is open to U.S. military, civilians and NATO ID cardholders. July 19: Tiger Shark Fundraiser at Carney Park Golf Course Naples Tiger Sharks is hosting their annual Golf Tournament on Friday, July 19, at Carney Park Golf Course. Check-in time is 9:30, start time at 11 a.m. Many Specialty prizes will be awarded, including Longest Drive, Accurate Drive, Longest Putt and Closet to the Pin. All U.S. ID cardholders are invited to participate. $35 entry fee, plus green fees. All proceeds go to assisting the Tiger Sharks reduce their up coming travel season. July 26: The National Night Out (NNO) Golf Tournament Held at Carney Park Golf Course, check-in at 10:30 a.m. for a kickoff time of noon.

Tournament fee is $30 plus green fees and cart (for non-walkers). Prizes include Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. Sign up a full team of 4 or sign up solo and be assigned to a team. All proceeds will contribute to National Night Out, held August 6. Team registration is ongoing until the start of the tournament. Additional MWR Updates  Now: Registration is open for Youth Sports’ fall season at the Support Site Youth Center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Soccer is for children ages 3-17 years old, flag football is for children ages 9-14 years old. The cost for a family’s first child registered is $60.

There will be a 20 percent discount for the remaining siblings. Participants ages 9-17 must attend a team assessment for both soccer and flag football. The team assessment is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Carney Park on Saturday, Aug. 24.  Summer Hours for the Carney Park and Support Site pools are now in effect. Carney Park pool opens Fri-Sun, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The Support Site pool is open Fri-Tue, from noon to 7 p.m. and will remain open for Thu, July 4. Daily entry fee is $4 per adult and $3 per child (5-17 yrs). Guests with regular base guest pass are admitted for a $5 fee. Seasonal Splashcards are also available for both Carney Park and Support Site pools. Capo Indoor pool will remain closed until Sep 2 for renovations.
