Aug. 1, 2013 Shuttle Bus Schedule Changes The Navy shuttle bus schedule will change effective Aug. 12. The minor time changes will affect Capo, Support Site and JFC. Beginning Aug. 7, copies of the new schedule will be available at all regular locations: Capo Inn, TLA, library, USO, ITT office, BEQ, Liberty Center and PWD Bldg 407. Please remember that bus schedules may not be sent electronically due to force protection reasons. Luggage Carts Must Be Returned to Cart Rack Outside of Capo Front Gate Luggage carts are currently not being returned to the proper place outside the Capo front gate. These luggage carts are provided as a courtesy by the Capodichino Airport, but have been ending up all over base, in the parking garages, workspaces, and some have been claimed for official business. New Email for CID Crime Tips The Command Investigation Division has established an email account specifically for crime tips and would like to ask for help from the Naples community. If you see anything suspicious or anything out of the ordinary that concerns you, please send us an email. From global, type the word ‘crime’ and the email address will appear. From any private email, send the message to FCT.NA.NSA_Crime-TipsNSANAPLES@eu.navy.mil. Please state if you wish to remain anonymous or if CID may contact you for further information. If you see something that needs immediate attention, contact the NSA Naples Emergency Dispatch at DSN: 626-5638. New Recycling Receptacles Delivered to Support Site Residences New color-coded recycling receptacles have been placed at all trash collection points at Support Site. Please make an effort to minimize the size of plastics and cardboards by breaking them down before putting them in the bins. Orange containers have also been placed around the Support Site for recycling unusable clothing. These clothes will be diverted from landfills and sent to a charity. More information on the recycling process was distributed to each residence via a trifold flyer, along with biodegradable bags and cooking oil collection containers. Adult Lap Swimming at Support Site Pool Morning Lap Swim for ages 18 and older is available from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday until Aug. 22. Please enter and sign in at the rear pool gate. All lap swimmers must exit the water by 11:30 a.m. or when directed to do so by a lifeguard. The group will meet every Friday at 9:30 a.m. on the playground behind the library, and is open to all children 5 and under with a parent or guardian present. American Soccer Club of Naples (ASC) 2013 Summer Training Schedule A summer skills sessions will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for U.S. and NATO dependents aged 7 to 18. Cost is $10 per child, per session for non-ASC members. Additionally, the ASC week-long soccer camp will take place from Aug. 19-23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $110 per child. ASC 2013-14 season tryouts will be held Aug. 27 and 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All events will be held at the north soccer fields on the Support Site.

Aug. 2: X-Country 4-Person Scramble Golf Tournament at Carney Park MWR is hosting the X-Country 4-Person Scramble Golf Tournament at the Carney Park golf course on Friday, Aug. 2. Registrations can be made until Thursday, Aug. 1 and the cost is $25 per person plus green fees, with 100 percent of entry fees being returned to players as prizes. The shotgun start begins at noon. Aug. 3-7: Limited Parking on Ground Floor of East Parking Garage From Aug. 3 through Aug. 7, parking on the Ground Floor of East Parking Garage, B461 will not be permitted in selected central stalls. The Traffic flow will not be impacted and will remain as present. Contractors will be accomplishing repairs to the leaky overhead sprinkler piping system. Aug. 3: Wine Tasting for Single Service Members USO Naples will have a special opportunity for area single and unaccompanied service members to participate in a Wine Tasting Tour on the foot of Mt. Vesuvius for reduced cost. Sailors will learn more about the world’s famous wines of the Campania region. After the tour, the group will also enjoy local specialties for dinner. Aug. 5: Youth Auditions for “The Tortoise and the Hare” Missoula Children’s Theater will hold open auditions for all students in 1st – 12th grade on Monday, Aug. 5. Approximately 50 roles are available. Auditions are from 10 a.m. to noon and some cast members will be asked to stay for rehearsal immediately following the audition. Aug. 6: Coffee Talk with Connect the Tots Connect the Tots is holding a coffee talk for families with young children on Tuesday, Aug. 6th at the NEX Food Court Coffee shop. Aug. 6: Earthquake Drill at Support Site There will be an Earthquake Drill for Support Site residents on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 5:15 p.m. All families are asked to take this opportunity to go over “Drop, Cover and Hold On” procedures in their respective homes. The drill will be initiated via Fire/Security vehicle public address system, as well as AFN Television. Upon the completion of the drill and the sounding of “All Clear,” families will be asked to exit their residences to enjoy the National Night Out parade and events. Aug. 6: National Night Out The Naples Area National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This event is devoted to promoting community crime prevention awareness. Additional MWR Updates  Now: Registration is open for Youth Sports’ fall season at the Support Site Youth Center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Soccer is for children ages 3-17 years old, flag football is for children ages 9-14 years old. The cost for a family’s first child registered is $60. There will be a 20 percent discount for the remaining siblings. Participants ages 9-17 must attend a team assessment for both soccer and flag football. The team assessment is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Carney Park on Saturday, Aug. 24.  Now-Aug. 23: Children’s Summer Reading Program at Support Site library. Kids (ages 3-13) may sign up at the Support Site library for this year’s “Have Book – Will Travel!” reading program. A free starter kit and book log will be provided to youth participants.
