Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Stand Down for Civilians SAPR-C is mandatory training for all appropriated fund (APF) personnel, nonappropriated fund (NAF) personnel and military who supervise Department of Navy civilians. Reminder: NEX Offering Online School Meal Payments for 2013-2014 School Year The Naples NEX is now offering parents and guardians the convenience of making secure, cashless payments online through MyPaymentsPlus, for their children’s school meals. The online system, www.MyPaymentsPlus.com, will also offer mobile apps for smartphones and tablets, and is scheduled to be utilized for the 2013-2014 school year. It will allow parents to make one-time or auto payments, check balances, and receive reminders via email. Parents will still be able to add money to their child's account by visiting the NEX customer service desk. Shuttle Bus Schedule Changes The Navy shuttle bus schedule will change effective Aug. 12. Minor time changes will affect Capo, Support Site and JFC. Copies of the new schedule are now available at all regular locations: Capo Inn, TLA, library, USO, ITT office, BEQ, Liberty Center and PWD Bldg 407. Please remember that bus schedules may not be sent electronically due to force protection reasons. Aug. 9-11: Registration open for Summer Swim Lessons, Session 5 Aquatics wraps up its Summer Swim Lessons with Session 5 on Aug. 12-22, 4 days per weeks for two weeks. Aug. 28-29: Sexual Assault Training from Central Michigan University The Department of the Navy Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Office and NSA Naples SAPR team presents No Zebras & More from Central Michigan University. No Zebras is a one-hour presentation that addresses sexual violence, stalking, and harassment through 12 vignettes and discusses bystander intervention. No Zebras is designed for junior Sailors and Marines, but all personnel are welcome to attend as space permits. Now: Registration is open for Youth Sports’ fall season at the Support Site Youth Center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Soccer is for children ages 3-17 years old, flag football is for children ages 9-14 years old. The cost for a family’s first child registered is $60. There will be a 20% discount for the remaining siblings. Participants ages 9-17 must attend a team assessment for both soccer and flag football. The team assessment is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Carney Park on Sat., Aug. 24. Aug. 14, 16: Prior to registration for fall gymnastics, participants ages 5+ must attend mandatory assessments to place them in the correct class. Registration will begin the following week: Aug. 19-20 for spring 2013 participants and Aug 21 for open registration. Assessments will be 4-6 p.m. on Aug. 14 and 16.
